What minor trades would you like to see happen. Or just possible players. Yes, there will be some far fetched ideas.
And no Pickens will not be traded. And neither will Dak.
And no they will not trade for Brooks for draft capital. Unless is player(s) for player(s) type of a trade.

If Howell looks good, will they try to move Milton for a late round pick, or if a teams QB goes down.
If a few WR's step up, would they trade Turpin or even move Mingo.

I would not mind if they trade Schoonmaker, probably for a late round pick.
Same for Bell, as he is the odd man out in the Safety group. Late round draft pick
Can Hooker be a trade candidate? It does nothing to cut him though. I doubt they would. Again a player would need to step up.
How about Sam Williams, if another player steps up , and another team needs a DE.

Now none of these may happen until TC. But never to early to think about it.

I hate to be a party pooper to a thread like this, but I will be. I just don't see many options down the depth chart that teams would actually give up resources for. The Cowboys aren't usually against keeping 3QBs and Milton is cheap enough for them to do so. I could see them keeping him around instead of taking a 6th round pick. Schoon I just dont see as having any value. The OL depth isnt quite as strong as it was a year ago, so I don't see a great candidate there. WR I don't see a great candidate to move other than Turpin, but his value isn't really as a WR. Sam Williams settled for a 1 year 2.5m contract so I'm skeptical teams think very highly of him around the league.

Maybe a Jaydon Blue if he is on the roster bubble? He has enough physical skill where I could see someone giving up a pick instead of hoping to gets to them on waivers. Spann Ford would probably be a player other teams would trade for if the other TEs on the roster are looking good enough where he could be expendable. A saftey could happen, but I'm skeptical. Bell is already 27 years old so the prospect tag has kinda worn off of him. Moving Hooker would give the Cowboys some salary relief so hes a player that teams may wait for them to release instead of trade for?

It might be better to look around the league at who the Cowboys could potentially acquire still. They've done a nice job of upgrading multiple positions, but I'm not sure that its a year where a ton of tears will be shed for those who didn't make the final cut.

It’s definitely the right idea, and I do wish they would get out of the ‘hang on too long’ business and salvage some late round capital for guys who have outlived their usefulness, but I think they will need to see some unexpected progress from a younger player or two before they make those type of moves.

Milton, Turpin, Schoonmaker, Carson, Sam W, Mingo (i forget he's here), Reddy, pretty much anyone that doesn't have a solid role on the team can go. If Blue doesn't step up he can go too.

I would like to see a move that without a doubt shows they are in win now mode. A risky all in gambler move. It’s what’s missing from this offseason.

Brooks or an edge rusher would signify that. Maxx Crosby….

I love starting the thread with what trades do you want to see and immediately going to, oh but don't you dare say these...
Because you know they will go there. Other threads are full of them. And you know someone will do it eventually anyway.

I think if they can get a few late round draft picks. They can use them to move around some. Maybe along with the 1st round pick, and trade down slightly or even the 2nd round pick. And pick u a 4th or 5th round pick since they do not have any.

They have picks, 1, 2, 3, 6, 6 and that is it. Make some moves on players that are on the bubble, pick up some picks to get into the 4th and 5th rounds.

Late-round pick for a RB (James Conner, Sean Tucker)
Mid-round pick for a DT (DeForest Buckner, Maliek Collins, DaRon Payne)

These are mostly deals that would happen around trade deadline.

The cowboys are hurting for draft picks for 2027 but I agree this is probably the most likely scenario of a trade is made. We probably need more help fitting out the 53 man roster than we can offer other teams.

Any fringe 53 player that has trade value should be on the block.

Dump them all. I don't care if we end up with 6 or more picks in the 6th/7th round next year.
Agreed....for so many years the Cowboys have failed to do this....what i am hoping is that their FA strategy now is clearly to trade picks from rounds 3-7 to aquire players vs signing true FAs, that they will see the value in doing this.

A couple of 5ths or 6ths for a few of the fringe guys means next years FA period will have more juice

Trade next year's draft for Myles Garrett. He'll be outstanding for probably the next 4 years. And think of all the money Jerry will make on Jersey sales!

How about a mid season trade, depending on how the team performs, I can see them trying to get a playmaker if all goes well and the FO believes we can make a run. Some vets might be available at that point of the season if their team is underperforming, or a FA that just want to tag along for the ride ala Clowney last year.

A third QB is only kept by a non contender
A roster spot is too important for a contender to waste on a 3rd QB
If we keep 3 QBs we have a problem

I don't have any trades in mind, I don't want any more draft capital used I think we've done a good job to this point however go to the free agent list go get a guy like Okereke, Taylor Decker, and bring back a guy like Clowney or somebody similar those would be the moves I want THEM to make..

And a late runner up move would be after June 1st or after the cut downs We will have evaluated our backup running backs and if they're not getting the job done in camp in pre season then you scour the running backs available list and go bring in a number two back That would mean somebody surprising is getting cut or maybe two..

I'm probably in the minority but I don't really care if they don't have a high volume of picks in the next draft. As long as they keep 1, 2, 3, I'm fine. Unless 2026 is a complete flop and they have to pivot to a rebuild, 2027 draft will be more about adding an impact player or two than it is filling a lot of holes.

There's little reason why they couldn't take the exact same offense into 2027 as well.

Turpin would get you a 6th. Mingo would get you a bag of Skittles.

Other than Brooks, not interested.

And Minlon needs to be gone. Not an NFL quarterback.
