Cowboys calling in the trade that got us Downs

I think Jerry should let Stephen do more on draft days in regard to trading and moving around the draft. He is clearly in his element. We might have stumbled upon something he is good at....
I think he has been in control Jerry sits there like Stephen make me look good

Jerry just sitting there old man rambling they almost didn’t turn the pick in wasting their time listening to grandpa

I think this shows how the war room operates. Jerry rambled. Stephen negotiated the trade. McClay submitted the pick.

They had the pick anyway. They were next up on the clock.

So if they had not called in the trade, Miami either passes or just takes the player they took at 12?
Or someone else moves up to 11 to take Downs. That is really what Dallas was preventing. Notice Miami declined just 1 5th; why would they do that if they knew they’d get the same player at 12? Possibly because they had a better offer

Ringleader Stephen in action. Not sure why it went down to the last second but they got the job done that's all that matters.

And most importantly, Caleb Downs is a Dallas Cowboy!
From what I hear and it's all rumor they initially offered 1 5th round pick in Miami said no we'll just go ahead and take our pick where it's at Then they offered a second so yeah sometimes it does happen like that Just like some races come down to the wire you know it's a photo finish as they say happens all the time some of the best deals are made under pressure on the precipice of it falling apart bam Welcome Caleb Downs...

Actually you don't know that You know it's funny you guys keep saying that since the draft that Miami didn't want him that's not the point they literally were trying to make sure nobody else was having a conversation and trying to jump over the Cowboys and get Miami's pick and pick Caleb Downs it wasn't Miami they were worried about it was others sometimes they hear things that you don't and sometimes you don't even hear what was going on in that room They initially offered a 5th round pick and Miami said no they had to up it to 2 5th round picks to do it 'cause how would you like it to have them done nothing and get leapfrogged by another team?

And then they turn around and get two additional 4th round picks in another trade I mean some of you all just can never be happy you always want to think there's a conspiracy and say Jerry wasted his time no they finally were being aggressive they tried to make a trade with that same 5th to trade with the Browns both picks a full pick swap they were working behind the scenes very hard and some of y'all just want to find fault in everything..

They said it in the war room as it was happening.

That's not what happened behind the scenes I didn't show everything but they reported all this already but if you need it spoon fed back to you Miami initially turned down 1 5th That was the Cowboys initial offer and they said no we'll just stay where we're at So then they had to have another discussion that takes time then they had to go back to Miami and said we'll give you two 5ths and anybody who's saying that they didn't need to do it because Miami wasn't taking downs forget that there could have been some things behind the scenes going on that the Cowboys might have been aware of another team was going to offer something to Miami to leapfrog Dallas and go get Caleb Downs..

What they did worked and what you're seeing is the end of it but all the stuff that went in in between that didn't show but I discussed it.

Oh yes it came down to the wire it was a photo finish because it was called negotiating They got it done.. History they got their player but none of y'all like to be happy you want to try to find fault in everything and it's ridiculous because that's not what happened they weren't just rambling and grabbing their crotch and itching their **** they literally were working on this trade and working on a trade earlier with the same 5th round pick to try to get the double pick swap with Cleveland they literally worked their **** off and you don't see anything but hey I'm gonna just make fun of Jerry because I'm jealous he's worked $18 billion..

I'm just saying it took time i'm not listening to all that garbage I just know what was said after the draft it's a little late now the draft was awhile ago I already know all this this is old news..
