Trades you would like to see happen

A third QB is only kept by a non contender
A roster spot is too important for a contender to waste on a 3rd QB
If we keep 3 QBs we have a problem
So now we have to convince Jerry to get rid of one of the backup QBs so we can stash a player at the bottom of the roster and instantly become contenders. I didn’t know it was that easy.

Turpin would get you a 6th. Mingo would get you a bag of Skittles.

Other than Brooks, not interested.

And Milton needs to be gone. Not an NFL quarterback.
Feel the same way. Really no need in doing any trades till you see what this team turns out to be on the field outside of a Brooks trade where there is an obvious deficit.

I also doubt you could get a 6th for Turpin at this time. Definitely not getting anything for Milton or Mingo.

What minor trades would you like to see happen. Or just possible players. Yes, there will be some far fetched ideas.
And no Pickens will not be traded. And neither will Dak.
And no they will not trade for Brooks for draft capital. Unless is player(s) for player(s) type of a trade.

If Howell looks good, will they try to move Milton for a late round pick, or if a teams QB goes down.
If a few WR's step up, would they trade Turpin or even move Mingo.

I would not mind if they trade Schoonmaker, probably for a late round pick.
Same for Bell, as he is the odd man out in the Safety group. Late round draft pick
Can Hooker be a trade candidate? It does nothing to cut him though. I doubt they would. Again a player would need to step up.
How about Sam Williams, if another player steps up , and another team needs a DE.

Now none of these may happen until TC. But never to early to think about it.
You seem to be infatuated with giving to our players!! Liafau and Sam I'd say

Prescott to Cleveland for Myles Garret and Dillon Gabriel.
I don’t think trying to have the worst record this year is the goal. Especially with next year Cleveland having our higher first rounder. Well maybe that’s your strategy?

Why would Cleveland have our first round pick next year?

So your plan is to double down on an offense that lead us to 7 wins last year and ride with our 60M QB sporting that 2-5 playoff record? Dak's been a path to nowhere for 10 seasons.

Myles Garret makes this defense legit and Dillion Gabriel would be a nice developmental QB. Heck we can bring in Kirk Cousins to play Dak for half the price. I;m sure he could go for 4k passing yards too with CD and Pickens.

I meant the jets. So you think by betting Garrett and having no QB weren’t not going to be near the bottom this year? And since the jets are getting our higher draft pick next year, we’d have lost the ability to draft a replacement QB, at least one of the top ones. And how are you going to sign Kirk Cousins this year if he’s on the Raiders? So Garrett impresses you so much that he’d be able to overcome the deficiencies we have at LB and CB, OT, plus all the rookies that would need to develop and an offense that would have a hard time scoring. Are you trying to replace us with Cleveland as the worst team in the league? Does your obvious hate for Dak really want you to make us the worst team in the league? Go ahead and say that we already are but you’ll be lying to yourself.

I believe you might be overvaluing Dak by just a tad. Sam Howell would be an average qb that could win some games for Dallas.

Most of these might yield a 6th for one of your 7ths. That isn't really much get excited about.

A lot of the guys you mention would just get released unless someone really wanted them.

And come on, Turpin? He doesn't need to do much for us at WR -- he is one of the best returners in the league. Seems sort of stupid to get rid of him.

:lmao2:

I’m not a Dak defender by any stretch of the imagination, but you saying overvalued you actually mean he sucks, especially if you’re saying there wouldn’t be a huge drop off by us starting Howell. I bet you’re one of those that would have preferred Cooper Rush over Dak. Heck, we should try and get Drew Henson back, he just might be an improvement as well.

Trade Jerry Jones to Setting Sun Retirement Homes for a real GM.

I won't be happy until we get another Rolando Maclain type LB, someone with speed AND size.

Vader, You said without Dak Prescott the offense would be #32 ranked. I think an average quarterback could be in mid to low 20's on offensive rank for Dallas Cowboys. Dallas has offensive tackle problems and running back depth and not overly impressed with our tight ends so its not just Dak.

I didn’t say they would be ranked 32nd. I mentioned they would have a hard time scoring. And we weren’t talking about an average QB, we were talking about Dillon Gabriel or Sam Howell. I doubt even you would consider them even close to average.

Jimmy Johnson was always about churning the bottom third of the roster. Why hang on to guys like schoon and Mingo when you can test drive a young guy that might be special?

Milton, Turpin, Schoonmaker, Carson, Sam W, Mingo (i forget he's here), Reddy, pretty much anyone that doesn't have a solid role on the team can go. If Blue doesn't step up he can go too.
Shoemaker, what a waste of a pick. Was that the Mazi year?

Jordyn Brooks

Oh, you said minor. My bad.
We don’t have enough picks next year as it is and we have two new LB

Only trades u would consider would be to gain draft picks

We’re still at least a year away

I could see us taking what we can get for Schoonmaker if Trigg proves to be what what they think he can be. But if he has maturity issues, they could make it where it's best to keep him on the practice squad for the year. Of course, for all we know maybe the other UDFA tight end might prove to be the best one.
