And since the jets are getting our higher draft pick next year, we’d have lost the ability to draft a replacement QB, at least one of the top ones. And how are you going to sign Kirk Cousins this year if he’s on the Raiders? So Garrett impresses you so much that he’d be able to overcome the deficiencies we have at LB and CB, OT, plus all the rookies that would need to develop and an offense that would have a hard time scoring. Are you trying to replace us with Cleveland as the worst team in the league? Does your obvious hate for Dak really want you to make us the worst team in the league? I believe you might be overvaluing Dak by just a tad. Sam Howell would be an average qb that could win some games for Dallas.
Most of these might yield a 6th for one of your 7ths. That isn't really much get excited about.

Vader, You said without Dak Prescott the offense would be #32 ranked. I think an average quarterback could be in mid to low 20's on offensive rank for Dallas Cowboys. Dallas has offensive tackle problems and running back depth and not overly impressed with our tight ends so its not just Dak.
I’m not a Dak defender by any stretch of the imagination, but you saying overvalued you actually mean he sucks, especially if you’re saying there wouldn’t be a huge drop off by us starting Howell. I bet you’re one of those that would have preferred Cooper Rush over Dak. Heck, we should try and get Drew Henson back, he just might be an improvement as well.Vader.

I could see us taking what we can get for Schoonmaker if Trigg proves to be what what they think he can be. But if he has maturity issues, they could make it where it's best to keep him on the practice squad for the year. Of course, for all we know maybe the other UDFA tight end might prove to be the best one.
