Cowboys hired Sathya Balakumar as a Football Data Engineer

Looks like they're diving deeper into analytics. This team is getting too smart for my blood... I dont like it!

Lol just kiddin...

He will get fired because his data analysis will show that Jerry and Stephen are the problem and need to go.

How about hiring a GM that lives and breathes football ?

Analytics have no place in this sport on any level. Its not rocket science. This team makes things way too complicated. Jerry always trying to reinvent the game because he sees himself as an innovator. Which he is in the oil and real estate arena, just not football.

Yes true but is it needed?
It’s worked well for baseball. In a way it’s always been used just not by analyst. Coaches have always watch film to pick up trends if other teams, understand how they call plays and plsy defense. This just advances what was already being done.

There are many teams that do, not just Jerry. We will never truly know how much it helps or not. IMO, it’s more suited to baseball and it’s more slow chess like pace lol.

This is in my field. If this is the typical gig, he'll be key. He won't make the decisions, but he'll provide the data they need to make good (or bad) ones. To do this, he'll need to be intimately involved and know what the coaches value, the plays, etc...and he'll need to know what exactly they are looking for when they interrogate the data and try to predict or draw some basic conclusions.

Given that AI is already embedded in the day-to-day of business, this is long, long, long overdue. We are behind fellas.

That reminds me of another high flyer we had to endure for quite some time.

Let me guess:

The guy worked the whole last year in his cellar to figure out statistics.

Am i right?

Lockheed Martin builds fighter jets for the military. So this person has brains.
He has not. LM is going astray since the US has rolled out its wars on another hardcore level.

Seems he lost his job because LM needs better people. You dont let go good people in times where your business is growing like hell.

And you for sure go to one of the worst franchises if you work for a successful business.
