This team needs less distraction and a confluence of elements that help them climb back up the ladder.

I am all for less primetime games. More early Sunday games. Less 'Games of the Week'. Less interviews, less podcasts, less streaming specials, etc.

Stay under the radar and do your fundamental knitting week in and week out. The NFL is a brutal league, and this team needs all the help it can get - including less airtime.

you know whats crazy? I did not remember the date, I had to look this up. But here's how much the NFL has changed / expanded the season. Dec 19, 1976-- the cowboys lost the divisional round to the rams.

This is the part of sports I hate. If the NFL could wrap up by end of December that would be ideal for me. This is what they used to do in the 40's, 50's and 60's. Over by the end of December. Now we are into mid-February adding 6 weeks to a season.

Hockey goes welll into the summer adding an additional 6 weeks to their season from the 1970's.

The NBA has stretched their season an additional 7-8 weeks longer.

At least baseball hasn't gotten stupid. They only added an additional week.

From when I was a kid the overall attempt by the league to retain my attention has gotten ridiculous to me. The last 10 years I have always watched the games the Cowboys played, not missing a game...but I have reduced my desire to watch other teams down to zero with the exception of the playoffs.

The investment is way too high.
