Schlereth: Cowboys are the frontrunner to win their division

I see no reason to call them frontrunners before we even see the product on the field ... unless you are just trying to get views.
While normally quite true, keep in mind that we just acquired Caleb. Some understand his super human powers, some don’t. Soon, we all will.

It is always great here and see stuff like this. It is far better from all the off season stuff in the past. Where some fans on here loved it when the media predicted doom and gloom.

Now there are several reporters and analysts. Actually 3 or 4 now. Predicting and saying good thongs about this team.
I think they would know better tan most on here.

Yes I agree, we need to see it on the field. we all know this. But it is nice to see them giving the team some props.

If they say we will suck, many of you will agree and love it. You would not say, hey we do not know they will suck, lets see them on the field.
But as soon as someone says they can make the playoffs, win the division, win some playoff games. You or some say, hey wait not so fast.

I don't think its by a massive amount, but they probably should be, espeically if Philly ends up trading AJ Brown. I think that would be a massive loss that makes their offense pretty ordinary. Ny should be a better team but it really feels like they still need some pieces. Washington has some depth issues along with injury concerns, but isnt a bad team at full strenght IMO. I see a tough year in the division with no true gimmes this year. These teams might beat up on each other enough to cost the NFCE a wild card spot, but Dallas probably has the highest ceiling pending the AJ Brown move.

I think they're the favorite in the division just because everyone else is bad.

Even a mild improvement on the defensive side of the football would make a big difference for this team.

No one posts while looking over their shoulder more than you do. You care far too much about what others "would" say or negative nellies raining on your positivity parade. For once I'd like you to state your opinion and be confident enough in it to lay it out there and go your way without thought to what people "might" say about it.

You think they're all "bad?" I think Washington will be pretty good again with Daniels healthy, NY will be improved, and Philly will always be solid. I don't see any gimmes unless Dart is a total flop, which admittedly could well happen.

I actually think the NYG are having quite a bad last few weeks, which cannot be considered good mojo at this time

Yeah, well I knew you of all people would take it this way.
Instead of actually comprehending my post. You MUST criticize me for telling the truth.

I do not need to look over my shoulder for anything. But you sure seem to.

Maybe hold the conversation about how the cowboys defense will dominate until we see them in action.

Yes.

Washington has done nothing to get better and were bad last year even with Daniels. NYG still has no offense and their defense moved laterally, if anything. Philly's offense is bad and will be worse when they trade AJ Brown - you can't depend on winning 4 games a year scoring less than 21 points.

No franchise has won more super bowls in April and May than the Dallas Cowboys.

I'm trying to free your mind, Neo.

Philly does a pretty good job of replacing players it loses. The Eagles might be worse without Brown, but they did draft a first-round receiver to pair with Smith. Now, their offense was pretty ordinary even with Brown, but defense is their strength. They weren't as strong as usual last year before they got Phillips and even though they lost him, they replaced him with Greenard in the trade with Minnesota. Don't know how that will work out for them.

My contention with the Eagles is they didn't really do anything that signifies that they improved, but they probably held serve, so it's up to the rest of the division to catch them. Did we do enough to do that? We'll see.
