Schlereth: Cowboys are the frontrunner to win their division

Deez Nutz got 9% of the NC vote for president.......anything is possible.

If I knew he was on the ballot, I would have moved there to get him to 10%
You didn’t get the memo. POLITICS are absolutely verboten here! Deez Nutz are the best though!

While the culture of the organization has been a problem.

Talent has absolutely been a problem as well.
Yup. Too much flash, not enough blue collar. Too much emphasis on the wrong positions. Way too many injury prone players drafted.

I love our team, and typically optimistic about most things in life, I consider myself a positive thinker, but I've been burned way too many times believing the hype only to have a circus ensue at the hands of the king of safe space culture "Jerry Jones".... I will not allow myself to believe in anything other than I've seen over the last 30 years or so, and that is collapse in epic proportions.. That doesn't mean I'm not excited for some Cowboys football and hoping for the best, I just can't quite jump on board...
I don't even expect an epic collapse...just collapse. The center spine of our organization - Jerry, Dak, Schotty - are all mentally weak in their own ways.

I wouldn't exactly call this a consensus.

I really don't know how Slereth is perceived by his peers when it comes to accurate analysis. I do realize I am one of many here that would hope he is a true prophet.

Slereth is looking at the potential of the young talent on this team. However, that potential must still be realized with the correct ingredients of coaching, cohesion, and team culture.

Everything has to come together for a successful run to the SB.

Can the Dallas Cowboys, from top to bottom commit to that goal?

Statistics and season results have shown that there were several years in which the Cowboys were talented enough.

There were years in which they accomplished the best regular season results they could hope for.

I know the Cowboys will have a winning season. Like most on this board, I can see the improvement in talent with a good draft and some wise veteran free agent acquisitions.

I'm all for enjoying a great regular season but I'm tired of the tragic endings. I need this team to be inspired enough to fight in the playoffs and win. I've been waiting for 30 years.

This new defense will have to consistently improve game to game and then peak in mid-December. That is a lot to ask of a new DC.

Frontrunner?

I guess he’s entitled to his opinion but I see the divisions balance of power about the same as last yesr

There’s the Eagles and then there’s everyone else.

Would love to be wrong

It really pisses me off he’s underselling the cowboys, why didn’t he just replace “division” with “Super Bowl”? Everyone seems to see it but Schlereth, I guess he’s just trying to rile up the cowboys fans.
I agree with you Amon!

I know we cant discuss a certain topic here but Im convinced a recent development is going to have a detrimental effect on the Giants, even if in some indirect covert way

We can’t discuss a dumb player calling out his teammate publicly? Abdul the dumb should have had a private conversation with Jax if he felt so strong about it. And even then it’s really none of his business.

every year is the cowboys year and every year since 96 this team finds ways to choke the season away.maybe this year will be different. i am betting on another what if year.
Being “their year” is not the same as the front runner to win the NFCE….i haven’t read anyone saying the cowboys are the front runner to win the Super Bowl. Have you?

No franchise has won more super bowls in April and May than the Dallas Cowboys.
