More players are expected to become available as teams received June 1st cap savings. Cowboys should be on the lookout for:

-Linebacker
-Edge
-Tackle
-Corner

This is when the price comes down for players looking to lock onto a roster for training camp. There will be some quality veterans available who can help.

Linebacker...there is a possibility the Cowboys could make a move here.

Edge...Not likely unless they go after Clowney.

Tackle...No. Just straight up no. Some fans want the Cowboys too, but they are rolling with Guyton and Steele.

Corner...another possibility but not I would be surprised because of how many there already are.

If the Cowboys make a move at any position it won't be for a big name player. More of a serviceable player who can fill a role.

They've typically leveraged trades to make substantial moves, and they're in a bad spot with capital in next years draft.

There's likely only gap filling moves going forward unless they figure out a way to flip Pickens (probably won't happen either).

Edit: after writing this, I've just have even more appreciation for us moving from 23 to 20. Thanks Howie.

They need tackle depth so hopefully a tackle.

-Tackle could come after camp if they feel they need more depth.
-They hinted they might not be done at linebacker after the draft Could Brooks become a june 1st release?
-Could they add a Joey Bosa or someone similar for the rotation? Would love to trade for Sweat, but both ideas are unlikely.
-Wouldn't surprise me if they add Adoree Jackson for depth at corner

I doubt they do anything until camp. Stephen thinks team building is complete at this time of year so barring an injury or 2 they won't look to sign anyone.
They have added pieces before, Griffen was one of them although he didn't work out.

none.. Unless it's juicy too juicy to pass up.. I still believe it's gonna be after a lesson preceding game and after those cut downs that they'll add something over fixed need they're gonna be injuries injury injuries there could be lost for the season there you go see that move in transaction month for that purpose..

I’d like to give Shelton a crack at developing but for a team trying to win now, given the tackle situation, I would absolutely figure out how to get my hands on a veteran swing.

Same front office that loved Edoga, so who knows how it might go even if they do it.

I also doubt they are being honest with themselves about Guyton. They probably figure they invested a first so the position is fixed.

Not trying to rain on this, but how many meaningful players are actually released on or after June 1st since the NFL allowed teams to designate two releases ahead of the actual date? June 1st isn't like it used to be because of this (IMHO of course).

Trades I can see, because you cannot designate a traded player as June 1st. But I am not sure they would be willing to trade a 3rd or higher and they don't own a 4th or 5th at this time (Gary and Pickens trades).

Could be wrong, but unless they are willing to part with a 3rd, not sure anyone worth much can be had for a 6th.

I think there are a lot of guys in play. Guys I'd target:

CB - Kenny Moore
LB - Matt Milano
DT - Daquan Jones
Edge - Cam Jordan

There are a lot of players you could swap in at those positions, but this defense badly needs proven veterans.

It's not that they are released after June 1, its that teams don't want to sign players before June 1 because of the comp pick formula.

For those that want OT or OL depth. Do not rule out Adenjini to return.
They seemed to like him last season. But injuries derailed him.

He would be a TC addition, or after game 1.

I think they need a 3rd pass rushing DT more than anything. Guys like Ogbonnia, Bullard and Overton arent guys you want on the field on passing downs. As it stands, they will likely grossly overplay Williams and Clark because they will need to play all the pass downs. Doesnt need to be a world beater. Maybe a guy like Tershawn Warton if he is released

Be on alert for some guys you never heard of in life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A guy that was a former 3rd round pick, but can't get anytime on the raiders roster!!

Daquan Jones would be a nice get. He can give some rest snaps on passing downs. He has graded out well as a pass rusher since he has become more of a rotational DT. 14 sacks the last 4 years in a rotational role

I believe they need linebacker talent
Brooks maybe?
Wagner?
