It pains Michael Irvin to see Troy Aikman working with the Dolphins

Wow. Your idolization of Jerry has you hating true cowboy legends.

You known Emmitt and Roger feel the same, right?
I didn't say anything positive about jerry....your hate has you seeing things. I said Troy and Jimmy don't need jerry....Jerry needed them, those guys didn't hide their feelings, those should have kept it in the locker room, that goes for anyone. Would you let your staff talk about you like that? Wait, you probably would. Jimmy and Troy knew what they were doing, they didn't need Jerry, so they didn't lick his sack, like some of you lick theirs....Roger and Troy love Dak, yet the Dak haters give them a pass......aren't we a little old to idolize grown men. Just say it how it is.....you don't like it, get to stepping....go kiss your Troy poster a d throw darts at your Jerry dart board.

He'd habe
What if Aikman has success and the criticism of Jerry over this just builds and builds so he ends up bringing in Quincy Carter as the advisor to the GM to appease the fan base?
He'd have to bring in Coogi, to appease this fanbase

I missed the article or interview where Troy called Jerry out for not bringing him on board. Is there a fine line between being disappointed it didn't happen, and calling Jerry out directly taking a jab at him? Jimmy for sure did, but Troy as well?

I was referring to Troy's playing days where he would walk up and down the sideline yelling and throwing blame to HC and FO. Not saying Troy was wrong, just don't think players should be doing that in public. Troy's knew what he was doing...that's why I say, Troy doesn't need Jerry.

You said screw jimmy and Troy and dissd Irvin.

What other possible reason could you have for that other than it being a defense of Jerry?

Love Jerry all you like but own it.

Yeah,

Yeah, screw what they did....I don't condone that....employees need to know their place. They new what they were doing, so screw them...and anyone else that think their above the system. Don't like it, leave....and don't let the door hit you on the ***. I fired 4 of my best friends, because they thought they didn't have to work.....still love them, but, bye....went 5-5 my first season with them, 12-1 my second, without them. Didn't lose one minute of sleep

Rarely do I take Jerry's side over the players. But I do on a rare occasion. But why does everyone have to kiss that megalomaniac's ***? He can't take criticism, and has to take the credit for everything, deserved or not. X players are better off not working for him.

Screw Troy, another Jimmy....know your place and have the balls to keep it in the locker room, where it belongs. You can't call out your boss out in public and then expect him to take care of you afterwards. Troy and Jimmy did what they needed to do and aren't crying about it. Irvin, is lucky to be making a buck with all the crap he did to embarrass the team. He's only relevant because he played with the cowboys. Troy and Jimmy are fine without Jerry, let's see if Troy can do better with the dolphins than Jimmy, who lost his last game to an expansion team bya about 60 points. We didn't have a Jimmy couldn't win with a salary cap or an owner that went out and got him players.
An anger filled rant against three of our former greats...I don’t get it.

Jerry would never take the advice from a field hand regarding his business.

Well the dolphins had a dam good team before tua lost the ability to play QB. They have not made 1 single move I would be envious of. Anyone can trade away assets, but can they put together a good team? Troy hasn't done anything yet.
They won as many games as the Cowboys did last season. Can Jerry Jones “put together a good team?” Don’t act like the Dolphins are a train wreck and the Cowboys know what they’re doing. Both teams stink. And they will again this season.

I wonder who will get to a championship game first, The Dolphins or the Cowboys?

Troy was responsible for David LaFleur. He has proven nothing as a personnel man. He's doing a two week consult with one of the worst run franchises in the NFL,don't turn it into anything else.

Michael Irvin was asked about his feelings on seeing Troy Aikman in a consulting role with the Miami Dolphins front office, rather than with Dallas.

Irvin: “…it pains me to see that happening because I know Troy wanted to do that. Troy wanted a John Elway situation here in Dallas, and I know he wanted it. Certainly, he’s earned it, but it’s not going to happen, and I rest my mind to that reality…”

Irvin says he knows the Jones family wouldn’t hand over the franchise to Aikman like the Denver Broncos did with Elway, but he wishes the front office would gather as much information as possible from someone who’s experienced a lot, knows a lot, and understands what success looks like.

Pains me too and it adds to the anger I have towards Jerry and the dysfunctional FO we have.

Dolphins offseason sucked. Aikman ain’t the reason for that crap.

I disagree. They are rebuilding. Sold off all the dead weight players or guys who wouldn't be key players in the next few years.
By 2027, even with all the dead cap, they will have 132mil in cap space.
By 2028 they will have 252mil in cap space.
They basically reset the team in an offseason.
If Willis shows he can be a legit starter they have him for dirt cheap and can retool quicker. He's no Fitzpatrick who is in his mid 30's and a journeyman.
If Willis shows he ain't the guy, no big deal. they will pick top 3, draft Arch/Dante/whoever at QB, and still have 132mil to play with.

Clearly, a lot needs to be done to make the Dolphins a +.500 team. But, they got a clean slate starting in 27 to rebuild to their new GM/Coach visions, for better or worse.
For me, firing Chris Grier was a win already for the team dating back to last year. They've also starting replacing scouts and other Front office management since the draft.
They were plagued for decades with poor drafts, free agent signings, etc...

It's reality, not anger. I have nothing but respect for those guys, on the field. What i don't get, if that the fault isn't Jerry's alone, yes, Jerry screwed a lot of things up, but he also outspent all other teams when we didn't have a salary cap. As far as the other three, Irvin was an embarrassment, if he wasn't good at football, or wasn't on a team like Cowboys, would he be relevant, or am I wrong?
If some of your employees or coworkers acted like Jimmy and Troy....openly talking crap about you or the boss, would they keep their jobs? Praise them and enjoy the past, but as a men, I don't like primadonnas.......in this case we have 4 of them. Go Cowboys, the team, i praise the team and players that set good examples, those that didn't...shut the hell up and earn your paycheck. That's what Jimmy and Troy expected from the players, they should have set the example.
