A.J. Brown traded to Patriots

They had no choice. There was a personal beef between Brown and Hurts. One of them had to go. IMO, Philly is a defense and run the ball team. Hurts is a bus driver. Their OL was bad last year and Barkley had no where to run. I'm pretty sure they are aware and have addressed the problems.
There are definitely some questions there. They have a new coordinator, so we'll see if he can pull it all together. Losing Brown might help with the locker room, but it also takes away one of their better players. It's a lot to ask a rookie to step in and replace that, even if Brown did have a bit of a down year.

Hurts has shown that he can be a top 10 quarterback when everything is working well around him. There are quite a few QBs who fall into that category, but don't have the kind of team around them that Hurts has had at times. He's not the type of QB who can overcome adversity.

Sure you did. And beach front property exist in Idaho. You definitely didn't watch a "little girl" get beer poured on her ar Lincoln Finacial Field in 2014. Thats complete utter bs. And if you "watched" while some grown up person poured beer on a "little girl" around a bunch of other adults? You're as much of a POS as the person who was pouring the beer.

But we both know that 100% didn't happen. And you are making stuff up online.
Hate in philthy is being taught in elementary school. There’s videos to prove it and you can’t defend it. Sorry brother, I’m sure you love Philly, but it is what it is.

OK so make Philly sweat it out. I think the Pats could have gotten a better deal if they just waited Philly out longer.
Or lost him to another team. You have no idea who was interested or not.

Man…..you know they aren’t lol. Incompetent franchises don’t dictate how good a player is. Colts could’ve easily got Wentz for a 2nd rounder and they chose to play him. They would eventually bench him. Incompetence.
I'm not referring to what they were. I'm referring to what the teams that traded for them hoped they were. You don't trade a first-round pick plus another for a player you don't believe is as good as Brown.

Thats first is the equivalent of a second. Its a year later.

Everyone always says a 1 next year is like a 2 this year.

Im not saying its bad, but hes losing what 43 million and getting the equivalent of a 2 and a 6 next year. Not exactly ground breaking stuff.
So when 2028 draft rolls around the Eagles won’t have an extra first?

I’m gonna come across as a Howie hater but I haven’t been impressed with Howie in 2 years.
Yep… in the last two years he won a SB, drafted Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper Dejean, an up and coming stud in Jalyx Hunt. Signed a stud OLB/DE, signed an unknown who turned into an all pro LBer in Zack Baun and another LBer in Jihaad Campbell. Totally mediocre work from a GM.

I mean last two offseasons. SB year was impressive. But this offseason over with yet so who knows. Eagles message boards must be slow these days?

I don’t get this. Hurts has been to two SBs in the last 4 years and has a ring? He’s made the playoffs every year of his career?
Probably meant Medicore stat wise offensivly, team just winning with 2 SB with at time great D

In contrast to here.....all kinds of yardage between the 20's, ave to poor in redzone.
Defence hit rock bottom, nowhere to go but up....cant sniff playoffs, let alone a SB

Another casual fan that think just because a QB has been to the SB that he’s one of the best in the business. Hurts is just a bus driver.

I dont set the values. Im only pointing out what has been standard for YEARS.

A future pick has always been devalued by one round.

Everyone playing Tarzan with Howie is ignoring the fact Philly wont benefit from this trade until THREE nfl seasons from now. Then on top of that you have a rookie who may need a year or two to develop.

Would I be excited to lose Pickens for even a great player in 2030? Absolutely not.

Im not saying its a bad deal, im just looking at face value. They still take a 43 million dollar cap loss, and get an equivalent 2nd round pick. On top of that they lose the exact type of big bodied possession guy Hurts needs and replace him with an under 6 foot 190ish pound receiver. Its not that impressive imo.

Considering I'm from there and have season tickets. I'd need to see the videos to believe or take you seriously. But I know and would bet good money you're lying. Yall love to act like Lincoln Financial field is the Vet. I mean i have even seen a lot of yall on this site talking about how there is a jail in the stadium. (There is not. That was the Vet).

And tell the same tired stories of Eagles fans just being unruly bc somebody is wearing a different jersey. I'm not saying there aren't any unruly fans. But there is no way you saw a "little girl" get beer poured on her, with all these people filming and watching. And it wasnt broadcasted somewhere like crazy.

The last time something like that happened it was at a Phillies game in 2010 and made national headlines. The culprit also got his butt kicked, arrested and banned from the stadium.

But you're telling me there are multiple videos of a "little girl" getting beer poured on her at an Eagles game? A team more popular than the Phillies? Lol absolutely no way.

Stop lying man.

LOL. I was there. It happened. Your avatar being a clown is very fitting. To call another man a liar online is a bold strategy cotton. Lets see how this plays out.

The father of this child stood up, turned to do something and was immediately confronted by 30 grown men. As was I. I had a football thrown at me during the tailgate, I had a group of men threaten to stab me up in the Eagles nest. So yeah. Its pretty memorable. Defend them all you want. Its disgusting to be a fan there if you arent a fan of the Eagles. Especially up in the Eagles nest.

It happened. Take your clown avatar and your false bravado back to your basement.
In 2010 a man poured beer on a girl and her father at a Phillies game. The man was beaten up, arrested, and banned from the stadium. It was national news. The Philles are nowhere near as popular as the Eagles.

But you're telling me in 2014 a "little girl" had beer poured on her. Her father/adult, and you stood up, and 30 people surrounded you... Ok bud!

That 100% didn't happen. People say whatever on the internet. You can say you were there. And talk about all the other stuff that may have happened at the game. Which could have been at a football game, location anywhere USA.

But there is no way somebody "poured beer" on a little girl wearing a Cowboys jersey. And the women and mature adults around you disappeared. And only the 30 ppl and everybody else who wanted to fight remained. Absolutely no way. Especially at the Linc. Stop lying.

So you, nobody else nor the father went and got security? Yall just sat there and watched the rest of the game in the Eagles nest (nobody calls it that) huh?

Yeah, you're LYING. I have seen people get security called on them, or have to be moved to another area for far less.

I honestly don’t know. I can’t imagine it not being other teams that wouldn’t want him.
But usually when a guy is on the market like this, there are enough rumors around about various teams. It had leaked a few weeks ago the Rams kicked the tires but nothing really progressed far. And leading up to June 1, some of the more prominent NFL reporters noted how bizarrely quiet it was around Brown and that typically leaks happen with regards to teams sniffing around and making calls.

They won a SB within those two years. LOL.

What would it take to impress you in those 2 years? Win two SBs and then also beat the Mighty Tenuanians from the Planet Zulu?

I don't know why we continually try to pretend that, unfortunately, the Eagles are a better run franchise with a better GM. And if Roseman was unimpressive these last couple of years, what the heck do you think of the job Jerry did?

It's strictly a value thing. Kind of like present value of money. In this case, many refer to picks multiple years out having less value TODAY in a trade.
