Machota ranks Dallas position groups from strongest to weakest

2. Quarterback
3. Safety
4. Defensive line
5. Offensive line
6. Tight end
7. Running back
8. Outside linebacker
9. Special teams
10. Cornerback
11. Inside linebacker

If the goal is to win a super bowl, why is QB ranked at #2?

It might be #4 on the Seahawks list.

Its just where they perceive strenf.
 
I wanted to disagree but can't say I do.

We have a problem if TE is that high on the list considering our options at TE

perhaps outside of putting safety behind DL, its pretty onpoint. I know the excitement about Downs, but still a rookie....

I am concenred about tackle position on the OL, if I was going to be drastic, dump Steele, move Guyton to the right side, where he played in college, move Smith to LT, put booker next to him (what a solid left side) and put bass at RG...now the right side might be considered week, I would be ok with Bass at LG....
 
need to separate DT from Edge or DE
DT is the strongest position on the team

Safety considering where we were last year and apparently are now, has to be considered much improved. A strength? yet to be seen
ILB is the weakest point of the team in my mind
CB could be a weakness and could be a strength
DE/Edge is up in the air

Offensively the clear weakness is at Tackle

Look it may boggle your mind but in their mind they got new corners and Durant I believe that's his name and the other guy from the Rams Plus they added one in the draft.

They know they have Revel and Bland coming back off of injury.. Let me get this straight if it's not a big name you don't think it's been addressed but Cobie Durant Is most likely very underrated in your mind but he's actually better than you think...

If and when they get through preseason at towards the end of camp and start doing cut downs they will address what they now believe in real time before the season starts A position of true need that's how it works they got 90 players they're gonna roll through camp they're gonna roll through preseason and then they're gonna address what the real weakness is not damn rankings you remember the number 32 ranking in our running back room last year by all of y'all said it was trash number 32 That's right you agreed with these idiots who make lists this early in the process this is not our roster our position groups are not set But if you want to play the game that's fine but they were very wrong about the running back group they were a top 10 running back group not 32 not the very bottom so these things are just ridiculous that you don't know how these players are going to play...

So let's calm down this is another way too soon ranking I don't really care what people think of the roster because I don't even know what the roster is going to look like until after cut downs and then they get the review evaluate and if they have a need they will fix it or at least I hope they will...

There are guys out there on a free agent list that are currently pretty deep list right now and are gonna get deeper after cut downs There are corners out there if they need one.. But sure they should have just in your mind just went out and got just all these big names.. And that would have been a guarantee they're better than what they have is that what you're trying to sell me?

So the Rams got rid of these two guys who were starters at one time for them and Durant was a very good one because they feel they upgraded But Kansas City let the two players go that they got now on their team so the Rams got two players that Kansas City decided not to keep and when people go look at those two guys and really breakdown every game they're overrated I know people are gonna say no mcduffie is one of the best no he's not I watched our guys destroy them george Pickens and CD Lamb made them look silly just like we made the back end of that Phillies allegedly great defense look..

Sometimes you gotta not fall in love with names I think that the coaches in the front office got players they believe right now fill those needs but that doesn't mean they're gonna not change their mind in the future...

Guy that people seem to want here I believe he was cut by the Colts in Moore he's still there..

That is why he lists and rankings this early about position groups and players and rankings it doesn't mean anything remember the ranking are running backs got last year and again they seem to be low on the list it was 32 if you don't remember people around here said it was the worst running back room they've ever seen and then they drop in and our top 10 or better we had one of the better running games in the NFL last year That's how much these lists mean..

Whatever they're assuming Ferguson has a bounce back year and that Ford makes a leap and then they had a lot of competition for other guys to come up and grab some spots I think those two at undrafted free agents they brought in you never know they could step up and camp they're making a lot of assumptions that's why list and rankings are just stupid anyway their opinions we don't know what they're gonna look like until they actually play..
