The same bubblegum crew was talking last off season how the defense was gonna be better from the year before ...... maybe you missed it since you are new.

On paper it looks worlds better ....... but you never know what this front office is gonna do ...... like last year when they traded our best defensive player away 7 days before the first game.

This is good, but the real question is how fast they will learn and execute the CP system.

I remember a lot of guys saying Murray sucked, Diggs was washed or needed to be cut, Parsons trade was poorly timed, we'd likely get nothing back for him until the following year's draft, Elam was a bust, and Jerry was trying to bargain-bin shop, etc. That's what I remember. It's also what the homies were saying during camp and preseason.

I don't recall thinking we had gotten better, especially after the trade. I do recall some people thought Eberflus would be solid based on his past performance, but I remember just as many pointing out his recent failures, that he lost the team in Chicago, was washed, and so on.

I'd say the tone is far more positive now, not only regarding the personnel but also the overall defensive depth chart. Barring injuries, the probability that the defense performs as poorly as—or worse than—it did last year is next to impossible based on several variables.

That's all I meant by pessimistic. No big deal LOL.
