PFT: Dak; QBs are judged by winning that last game

when you look at some of those that have rings like Dilfer and Johnson and so on; and those that do not like Marino and Kelly and even Danny White, you cannot help but believe that luck has a significant part to do with it.
Look at Brees: just one appearance and one ring yet he is a sure fire HOF QB
He yearly had better stats then Eli Manning but he has only one ring
Jim Kelly went to four straight and only a missed FG kept him from getting a ring

When Dak leaves you are gonna be just like the Romosexuals do with Romo and revise history and talk about how good he really was lol. Romo went from a solid qb who choked in the playoffs to Tom Brady and Dan Marino once he retired. They miss you when you gone lol.
Yep and the narrative will be that the Jones failed him.

If he can understand that he deserves the criticism that comes with the job, why can't his ardent supporters?
We do. We just don’t dwell on his negatives, and all QB’s have negatives, 24x7x365 like you and your buddies do.

i knew this gem was gonna get delivered...i just didnt know who was gonna bring it.
Men of size are brought up to recognize these situations and expound on them.

We dont like it but we do it for the next generation.

As Nipsey Russell said, " The children are our future".

Wow, what a bold and stupid statement.
I did not get to read the entire article yet. Need to run out and do some things. But is that taken out of context a bit? Yes fans and media at times rush to judgement on the last game. However, if you have skins on the wall, fans and media know they are just being critical of that game. Not the entire career.

Now if he is meaning you had a bad game, that should not dismiss the entire career. It is different. However, his career for 10 years is stats.
2-5 in the playoffs does not cut it for us. we want playoff wins, meaning WIN your last game played. And stop yapping about it.
...Jazzy, he's caught in spur of moment with these idiots.

You have to think FAST, sum up something special and new to get them, .. to shut up.

They want clicks, and Dak unfortunately, ..is the fall guy.

Sir, you don’t have to explain or lie to me like I said I didn’t directly call you out I wasn’t trying to embarrass you….you just came out jumping off the porch. When you guys start explaining your post at a certain time because of a time zone all I can do is laugh lol.

2-5
You're confused again, son. I didn't take it personally. I was just pointing out your stalking and generally creepy pattern of behavior. Not speaking for myself but for the brotherhood.

I expected this sort of pushback the min I read his quote and I agree somewhat, especially on whether or not he deserved $60M a year. But this isn't anything new.......all fans I have read/heard agree he is overpaid, even his 100% hard rock supporters. Honestly, I don't blame him......it's Jerry who gave him the contract $5M more than the next highest. He could have made Dak the highest-paid QB at $56M rather than being lazy and standing his ground.

I'm not getting your Mahomes comparison...... many QBs were making more than him prior to his new extension ($64M), yet you are singling Dak out. You are smart enough to know the NFL QB market pay fluctuation is based on the next up generally becoming the newest, highest paid.

There are a few QBs on record who admitted ( Mahomes, Allen, Burrow and Lamar to name a few ) their willingness to sign team-friendly deals. Dak, on the other hand, has always been all business. I think some of that thinking goes back 4 years as a starter playing on a 4th round rookie contract.

Either way, his career as a Dallas QB could come to an end by 2028 IMO.
Dak’s all business and so is Jerry. Jerry Jones agreed to the contract with Dak. So did all those other owners/ownership groups who’ve paid QBs that have been no more successful in the playoffs than Dak.

It’s the owners’ job to build a competitive roster. Why should Dak take a penny less than he can get and then have no say in building the roster?

If he believes that, why did he demand to the richest contract in NFL history when he hasn't come close to getting there? He's missed the playoffs half his career.

This is the main reason I turned on him. Demanding to be paid like a Mahomes while lacking the skins on the wall to show you earned it has always struck a nerve with me. It's like demanding the Medal of Honor when all you did was scramble eggs in the chow hall every morning.

Im sorry to disappoint you but every year, someone in sports demands to be the highest at their positions, and at that point their team has never won a championship and may never win a championship.

Thats just the world of sports and contracts. I guess you may be irked alot throughout your lifetime watching sports. Dak isn't the first and definitely won't be the last.

He's had 10+ years to win the last game, he chose not to, but got paid handsomely!! Why win when you can be handsome!!!:cool::eek::D

There are other quarterbacks who "didn't win" in their first 10 years and still got paid. Why do people act like this was just invented in Dallas a couple years ago?

With that said, quarterbacks can only be held accountable for the years they played and finished healthy. Can't hold a quarterback accountable for lack of success in a season or seasons he's barely played due to injury

To conclude, quarterback success depends on his skillset AS WELL as the performance of his entire team, coaching staff and management.

Matthew Stafford didn't win his first playoff game until his 12th season in the league, let alone a championship. Having great teams AS WELL as great coaching AND great management still matters in team sports.

This isn't boxing or golf.

It really rubbed me the wrong way when the coaching staff elected to go with this guy over Romo for the playoffs in 2016. I understand he was part of their success, but the Cowboys were pretty good that year with three pro-bowl offensive lineman and arguably the top offensive playmaker in Zeke. History also demonstrated that you don't win the SB with a rookie QB. Having said that, I moved on - as the decision was the coaches to make - and like any Cowboys fan rooted for Dak to succeed. But, like you, he lost me when he went on some personal crusade - on behalf of the brotherhood - to make himself the highest paid player in NFL history. For what? Two wildcard playoff wins.

But the irony of this….is you speak on when and how many times I post every chance you get lol….its creepy when I do it. When you do it it’s….who knows. :laugh:You’ve never been self aware that’s one thing we do know and you hate to be embarrassed. I didn’t directly call you out let’s put that on record. You just assumed I was talking about you.
