2025-26 NBA Season

I'm not sure if I agree

Beal was making $50 million or at least high 40s but it was right when the new CBA hit and the second apron rules and PHX just had no way to get better. And Beal hadn't even made an All Star team since 2021.

Fox is better, he's coming off an all star season and averaged 18 and 6 this year. His issue is, he just isn't a lead guard in big games... but in MIN you have Anthony Edwards to fill that role.

And I'll always be a huge fan of Julius Randle... he came to NY when no one else wanted to, played great for us and was a big part of our turn around, and I think he'd be a great fit in SAS. He can come in, plug a hole, fill a role, and they don't need him to be a superstar
Fox is the best player on a bad team
Is what I was getting at. It’s like James Harden. Great player but he’s the best player on a bad team. Wolves don’t need that. Jrue Holiday for instance is a great player. He’s not good as Fox or Harden but he plays winning basketball. I can win with those guys. Mike Conley on his prime… Randle is another guy….good player on a bad team.

I think the Knicks showed you can win with guys cast off

KAT was a "great player on a bad team"

Bridges was a "great player on a bad team"

They just needed to be on teams with a guy who can carry the load like Brunson

And Edwards and Wemby obviously are built like that too...but Fox isn't suited to be the primary ball handler in the clutch. SAS are going to need Castle or Harper to fill that role and I'm not sure if Fox will excel off the ball like Randle would playing the 4 on the Spurs.

Meanwhile, in Minnesota, Fox wouldn't need to be the primary ball handler in the clutch but is fine in that role most of the game

I think it’s moot honestly Fox would be a terrible fit in Minnie. I could see Fox on a Bulls or Nets team. Sucks for Fox I feel his coach should’ve reined him in. Now it looks like they lost because of Fox.

Still think that's putting way too much blame on Fox

For an 84.7% FT shooter... Wemby missed a lot down the stretch

Castle scored 1 FG all game

Champagnie disappeared every second half...

Pushing the defender with the off arm is supposed to be a foul in the NBA. Brunson does it on every play. They called it only once when he hit Castle in the face. They could at least call the blatant ones.

Its not blame for the loss ...... its he is the 5th best player on the team and is really no longer a fit ..... love your spurs /timber-wolves trade idea.
I agree with this take... maybe 4th best, but due to fit, 5th best

And Randle could slide in and probably just fill the role needed

And I actually think Fox would thrive in Minnesota... much less pressure due to Edwards

Last comment on the Spurs... because honestly, if the Knicks weren't in the finals, I'd probably root for them, I just love their style of basketball

Castle and Harper, I don't think either is a true point guard so there is some risk in trading Fox. I think they're both really good combo guards, that play great defense, can play off the ball when needed and I think those two together can bring the best out of each other. I just don't think the trio of Fox, Castle and Harper is ideal.

Castle probably needs to become a better 3 point shooter... he was about 30% this year and I'd like to see him closer to 34% or 35%... Harper was 34% and if he can get to 38%+ and this back court is dangerous. Probably still need a quick guard coming off the bench, but Castle and Harper need to be your starting backcourt on day 1.

Lol.

Yeah… It’s the ref’s fault that the Spurs lost.

And the Spurs NEVER get away with fouls.

Lol.

By the way… Is the NBA still rigged? Wasn’t this supposed to go seven games?

That isn't what I said.

Im really conflicted on the Giannis to Boston smoke. Ive always beenna huge fan, and in that regards would be like getting KG back in 07. However he is the quintessential flawed superstar, and there is a real his game may not age well. Im also a big Brown fan, and feel like he is ingrained in this club. However if you can get Giannis for essentially Brown and change, thats selling very high in Brown. And Browns value right now is the highest its ever been.

I do think the Celtics will have to reform their core making this move. I can also see them buying low on Ja. However thats a huge gamble and I don't know how that would work out

The Knicks could never win another and I'd be absolutely content... but when I'm ready to care about next year... gonna say we runnin it back  won't care who's in our way
We were "better" in 2025, but the Knicks still took us down (were about to go up 3-1 when Tatum got hurt). The Knicks were built to beat us, but they way there built also meant they are built to beat anyone. Its a wing leauge, and the Knicks are built the create huge masses of mud around wing scorers. Thats going to make them a tough out in the playoffs

Interesting trade. If Dallas can get rookie year Knecht and not 2026 Knecht, this trade could work out for him. Sam Hauser type player

Pick is far out, but its a another chip to use in trade when the Mavs will be trying to put some vets around a 23/24 year old Flagg

Definitely... if it weren't for Boston pushing us, I don't know if all the trades we made happen

It was much smarter than what Minnesota did to beat Denver. They did beat Denver......in the 2nd round. Then Dallas cut right through them. They way Knicks did it, you are still playing to the strength of most the NBA, not trying to beat one unicorn
