Cowboys work out RB Zamir White

On paper he was a solid back out of UGA. Had the speed and size.
IIRC his 2024 season his numbers were awful with the Raiders, but 2025 sort of showed even a back like Jeanty was going to struggle behind a bad offensive line and no passing game.

They didn’t sign him though.

This is exactly who they ought to bring in. Has experience, but those legs aren’t shot. I really want to see Blue become something, and Davis is decent depth, but I think a vet career backup type might just sufficiently push Blue to keep up the progress, and at the same time provide insurance for the team.

would have rather seen us draft someone

Chubb is still out there. Not sure how much better he would be than Mafah but he’s available

Why? How many RB's do you think we need? We just drafted 2 last year.

This draft was about providing CP some players so he can fix the defense.
eh. i would have agreed if we spent some real draft capital on the second day or early 3rd day in a strong rb draft. 5th and 7th round picks are hit and miss long shots because the investment is so low imo.

They spent late picks I don’t consider those real picks. I was fine with a mostly all defensive draft but I would’ve drafted a RB.

I’ve been wanting to draft a mid-round RB since at least back to when he was drafted, and it never happened. This is similar, but also it’s probably better that they have someone with experience behind Williams. I suppose Davis can fill that role but competition is in order for sure.

Keep in mind they didn’t sign him yet.

Davis is Ole Mr convenient

If they do sign White I can’t see room for both.

Thinking on it, he might take Davis’ job, not Blue’s.

We also have the five million dollar man hanging around, who will have a roster spot at RB, if there’s guaranteed money left on that extremely curious contract they gave him.

2023 numbers were respectable, and you said it, that line for Raiders has been hot garbage the last couple seasons.

I'll let them know they weren't really drafted by America's Team the Dallas Cowboys.

The surprised look on their face will be something to see.
A 7th round pick on a running back isn’t an investment. Cowboys should not get credit for addressing needs in the 7th round.

He had a 3rd round grade and was drafted in the 4th pick 122 while Blue was taken in round 5 at pick 149.

Get this:

NFL Comparison: Marion Barber III

In 4 years in the NFL White has 736 yards and an ypc of just 3.7 with 2 td's. Doesn't sound anywhere close to what MBIII did for the 'Boys.
