Hennessy out for the season

I’m just saying he for sure wasn’t underrated by fans. Fans thought we were going to get a 2nd rounder for him.

He was a solid depth piece for sure. Not irreplaceable. If we needed a guard I’d for sure would’ve been ok with keeping him.
I dread the injury bug on the OL every season of Cowboys football...this one issue could derail things if it happens

Never should have gotten rid of Hoffman
To be fair, Bass PFF grades are not bad.

Hoffman, not so good. But he was a fan favorite.

Pour out some Hennessy in his honor tonight.
I would guess Matt knew his neck was jacked up before he signed the contract.

By fans or front office? This site overrated him if anything. They love him.
I think it was the Batman face paint. lol

Let’s see how the Glaser kid plays. He’s stout.

Hoffman was not as good as many say. It is why they kept Bass over him. They could not tender both of them. And pay $10 a yer between both players.
If they gave one a less tender for a lesser draft pick. He would have been signed by another team anyway.
Which the should have done. But what if no team signed either one.
True. Hoffman PFF grades well below Bass.

I still don't understand that either why keep Bass over Hoff,

when Hoffman plays multiple positions very well What are they thinking it wasn't like it was expensive Pittsburgh basically sign in for the very minimum whatever that might be for his tenure it was under 2 million per year..

A legitimate backup center and a legitimate back guard for under 2 million I don't get it what what does bass have unless maybe they see that is maybe he's been working at backup center and he can do it just as well I guess we'll find out camp definitely preseason..

and asl always you defend the FO'
They screwed this up'
but you will never admit it

I just figured @Hennessy_King was gone forever, not just the season.

If he has been around, I haven’t noticed.
Yeah that was last season they allowed Hoffman to leave therefore Bass is back up guard now they're gonna need another back center and I leave Hennessy was gonna be that guy..

Still don't understand why they Hoffman leave when he was that cheap over Bass unless they're going to turn bass in the backup Guard and center,

There was that brief window when the Commanders cut Tyler Biadasz and he was then signed quickly by the Chargers.

Having said that I doubt he would have taken a backup role behind Beebe anyway. Regardless, time to see what Bass can do at center.

I promise everyone that Brock Hoffman was not going to have a real impact on our season. He’s a mediocre backup OL that is extremely replaceable
I disagree he was very capable of swing tackle and center He did both he did it well he made up the starter But what if something does happen to Beebee long term,

what if he's gone for 10+ games what do we don't have for this season, Yes Hoff would have started, he wouldn't have been as good, but he definitely didn't have a big drop off...

I find that right some of you overestimate and overvalued some players that are just really not worth it but then you undervalue someone like this I don't know what you're watching but he definitely would help in that situation...

Exactly. If Cooper Beebe misses time the line is downgraded. Whether it's Hoffman or Bass out there; doesn't matter. Neither is Beebe.

Hoffman never played tackle and never was a swing tackle option. He's a replacement level player at center and guard. Bass is no better and no worse.

I was in a hurry I met hard he was a swing guard and swing C and my statement so holds true..

I disagree bass have not played center Not well I don't remember him playing it at all It's a very important position to don't fumble the snap send it for people's heads also be able to block while snapping the ball it's not as easy as it..

I'm telling you my opinion is that Hoffman was the better option until otherwise proven,

we'll look and see what happens if Bass has to play there but I already saw Hoffman prove that he can do it play both positions very well...
