Prescott to Q. Williams: I'll get you to the playoffs but I need you to help us win it

lol...what a liar you are. You have given Rockport likes on all of his threads today! Gaslighing, Rabbit holing that whole forum! How embarrassing!
I don’t give people likes based on who I agree with or who the site agrees with. I’m not spineless. I’ve given you likes in the past too.

I agree it is embarrassing I’m over here having a lecture on “likes” on a forum. One guy is 52 bragging about his likes and you are telling me me who I can and can’t like. This is embarrassing I’m gonna walk away from this one re think things.

Classic.
It's not your fault you have more posts than anyone else in this thread. It's not your fault that every single convo you're having is contentious. It's all everyone elses fault. You poor thing.

For the record. I have received plenty of support for my few comments in this thread. You know this, though. Gaslighting aside.

I'll leave you be now. You have a big day ahead. Make sure to hydrate and stand up and stretch every now and then.
Yes. I’m sure you have a gang of support.

We know the game. You’ve admitted you do this for entertainment. You will duck off somewhere and continue to do what you do. Hide in the shadows waiting for your chance to come out when it’s comfortable lol.

Love his Aragorn avatar.

I am a big LOTR nerd
Dak is Boromir.

True. As much as many here use this opportunity to take another shot at Dak. Quinnen has had the bad Sam Darnold, Zach Wilson and the washed-up Aaron Rodgers.

I think Sam Darnold is a good example of the quarterback's role in a team's success. He's a better QB than when he was with the Jets, but he's also obviously on a better built team with a stout defense ... so he wins a Super Bowl. Not saying he didn't do his part, but it was just a part instead of having to carry half the load or more. The running game did its part, the passing game did its part, the defense did its part and the special teams did its part.
Yeah Dak's not the greatest, but he's definitely more than competent in the regular season.

He's not going to be like Peyton Manning who could will a 5-11 talented team to an 11+ win finish year-in-year out, but he's going to be an edge factor which usually equals a winning season/post season berth.

Sam Darnold is such an interesting case. I'm a believer that his mental makeup is what kept him in the league. Most guys would just say "ya know what, I'm not good enough" after struggling. But Darnold just kind of shook that stuff off, which eventually got him into a better environment twice. Once with the Vikings where he was part of a 14 win team, and of course his super bowl winning season last year.

He didn't let his early growing pains turn into a permanent label, and that's basically unheard of in today's NFL.

Darnold is better now. But like you say, he's also part of the machine.

It is a pickle, though I seem dogmatic about it, there is no crystal ball. Darnold proves that QBs need investment - reps, team, etc. - to be successful. Heck, Dak could prove me wrong and be clutch this year and win it all.

Be we also know, Phillip Rivers never sniffed a SB and played in 1 AFC Championship game. And Dak ain't no Rivers. At some point, you're better off cutting your losses and drafting someone new.

That is if you're not running a lowkey restaurant, parking service, merch business masquerading as a football team.

There’s a growing list of guys like Baker, Darnold,, Geno…maybe you can put Malik Willis and Mac Jones in there too…makes you wonder did teams
Give up too early or did they just need stability and time?

He has no idea what he is really saying here. Just exactly what he is telling anyone who is listening what he is about.

In his world not being here 24 hours a day engaged in a game of endless ring around the rosie is "ducking away" and "hiding in the shadows".

He is telling us that this is his world. He lives for this and the attention he gets from strangers on an internet forum. He posts, therefore he is.

The concept of life outside an internet forum is lost on him. Accountability exists in the real world. Many would question just who is really doing the ducking and hiding.

Will this be the post that he pulls out his last ditch tactic and responds with "I'm not reading all that"?

Stay tuned for the next episode of as the marathon continues.

So are all the Dak supporters (ironically) going to come in here and rip him for this?

They always go on to haters that Dak is just one player on a 53 man team. You can't judge him on the team's success or failure.

He's saying, yes. Yes you can. He's going to do it. They should be ripping him for his hubris. After all, he's just a cog.

Manning is a good case study. If success was just based on the quarterback's skills, he'd have more Super Bowl victories than he does. But in his 18 years, he has two, the same number his brother, Eli, a much worse QB, had in 16 years (although Peyton did reach four Super Bowls). Their success depended on having a good enough team around them, although Peyton's talent meant he could have a lesser team but not an incapable one.

you make excellent points. It's not hard line as some people claim. We KNOW people said our offense played harder for Cooper Rush than they did for Dak.

How do you have a civil discussion with people that claim that?

Why does dak get a free pass for not making his team better let alone driving a really good (offensive) bus?

Good one bro…your posts don’t have the same energy or vigor egress you are alone. Interesting…. I like how you’re talking to the forum but only one person is listening because no one cares.

He does not have to be ANY of that.

But people that balme everyone BUT dak? Like he never contributed to losses? How do you talk to peopel that do that?

If we lose it's a "team game" But "dak will lead us to playoff wins"...I mean how do you deal with that insanity? I do not know.

You know how it goes. If you are a hater losses are on one person. It you are a lover it’s a team game. The narrative never changed…..

The rest of the story has yet to be written so who knows what his perception will be 5 years from now. For now though, there are two things that need to be recognized IMO.
Darnold made plays. He didn't just take the easy plays.
Teams make mistakes in their evaluations. Whether it be standing pat when they should make a change or making a change when they should stand pat. The Vikings organization & the players rue letting him go.
