The Cowboys defense was ranked 32nd last season and he called that "having an out". The offense had to score damn near 35, 40 points a game, but he said "in a weird way thats less pressure for Dak".

Lets review that one more time..... a 32nd ranked defense is an excuse.

Having to score 35, 40 points per game in order to have a chance at winning a game is "less pressure" on a quarterback and the offense.....

Other teams had to outscore the #1 offense you nitwit. How about exhibiting some basic critical thinking before you plant your flag on your own foot?

If Dak had to "outscore teams" because of our bad D, he had pretty good weapons to do so, right? So...the bottom line if Dak was so good, the frame would be, "Other teams had to outscore our great QB who always competes."

All you need to do is WATCH THE ACTUAL GAMES instead of hiding behind stats that don't reveal the whole story. Dak also starts slow and then pads his stats and plays catchup in the 2nd half. He's not a lead dog who puts the pressure on the other teams. He's got almost every single offensive weapon you can think of including an intergalactic field goal kicker and a QB-friendly coach. Why isn't THAT your argument?

Because "poor Dak" is persecuted. What can we do? He schemed to be the highest paid - basically, screw the D - and now you want to throw a pity party? Pet player pity party.

But I see where you're going: You're trying to insinuate even good QBs are hostage to their team. Duh...who doesn't know they need a team? But the MOST IMPORTANT PLAYER ON THE TEAM IS THE QB. They never get all the blame, but if they are paid more, have more experience, is the designated leader - and they play poorly - they are going to get the LOSS AND THE BLAME. You either get this or you obfuscate - this sentence should sound familiar.

I think your problem is that because you are so simpleminded you imagine you made some Gordian Knot of a point. Eli beat Brady twice, but you know what...? NEITHER OF THEM CHOKED...it was a battle and someone had to lose. Now, take Dak vs Garrapolo. Dak vs Mr Irrelevant. Dak vs Jordan Love - HE CHOKES! You can't say, "well, the entire team looked bad that day...so the most important player's poor play is excusable...". No leader or champion ever thought or uttered those words!!!

The point isn't whether superior QBs lose to better teams, the point is whether the so-called superior QB played well enough to put his team in a position to WIN. Scott Norwood missed the field goal - not Jim Kelly's fault. But 4 SB losses in a row IS HIS FAULT, just as much as Bradshaw winning 4 out 5 years was his accomplishment. How you perform on Sunday matters and you can't hide behind the team.
