Twitter: Dak Prescott owns the NFC East

I can root for the cowboys weather I think Jerry is capable or not. I don’t need your permission. The reason why I bring up about how bad Jerry is, is the fact that half the forum can’t stop blaming him for every single thing. I get it, he has way more failures than successes but even when he does something logical or good, anyone who points it out will be attacked. Stick to your narcissistic point and just own it. Don’t change the narrative just because you hate Dak. But under similar circumstances, you’ll defend other players, like Micah. What did he ever do for us? He disappeared at the end of every season and all the big games. But since you like him and picture him in a cheerleading uniform, you’re okay with it. :muttley:
Temper, temper. And calling for reinforcements...I thought this was a gentleman's disagreement?

I hit the right nerve. You can't separate the two. You speak in hyperbolic terms "blame him for everything", when it's just patently false, absurd and a quite frankly sophomoric pouting.

I never said you "couldn't do it", I said that it was nihilistic. One can continue to live and say life has no meaning because we die, but that is nihilistic...just as much as you can continue to post, watch and root for the Cowboys - and believe in Dak at the same time....ookkkk - and all the while say we have no shot while Jerry is alive. Be my guest.

Narcissistic? You made about likes too or is that just your fellow Dak escort?

I agree the San Fran game Dak and the offense let us down….but when the offense was struggling the defense had moments of making plays to change momentum and they came up short. So I’ll knock them for that but can’t put the loss on them. The defense racks up all these sacks and interceptions in the regular season and then playoffs come there’s nothing. Same as the offense. They aren’t obsolete of blame.
Ha! "Dak and the offense". Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gallup didn't fight hard enough for that perfectly thrown INT!!!

If I wanted likes like you do, I would be negative all the time and complain about Dak and Jerry incessantly. Lol

It's complimentary football. Both Giants SBs with Eli were both sides getting relatively hot when needed. Eli was clutch the entire postseasons...with road wins and then the SB. Both sides did their jobs. So when Dak throws soul-crushing INTs against SF in the playoffs when our D played really, really well despite Dak giving away short fields and points, Dak failed to play his part. In GB, when our D was weakened by our corners being hurt and key players being out, we didn't need Dak to throw a pick 6 and make it worse. He's got to compete like Sam Darnold did.

Case in point are the 2007 Patriots. Squad was great on both sides of the ball and lost. Why? Because the Giants played complimentary football. Eli didn't choke the game away and the D stayed close enough to beat Tom in the end. But in both SBs, Eli had to pay it off. It's not one bad decision by Dak that has doomed us, it's him playing uninspired football and making bad decisions for 2.5 quarters before he figures it out that kills us.

Great post. Isn't it mind boggling that a quarterback like Eli Manning with two Superbowl victories over a team led by Tom Brady, the GOAT, didn't get into the HOF on the first ballot? As clutch as Eli was, why the hell is he still looking from the outside of the HOF?

The first 49ers playoff losses was totally a team loss. The Cowboys recorded a league record 14 penalties in that game. Dak had faults there too but that loss wasn't solely on him. No quarterback in NFL history can lead a team to a playoff victory vs a number one defense after committing 14 penalties.

There's a reason that's never been done.

I definitely agree with you about "complimentary football". Its up to great teams and coaching to play that way.

But the QB has to be the one to compensate for the lack. If the D is having a tough day, he's gotta score until they figure it out. The "the entire team sucked" just means the QB didn't do his part of the complimentary football. And when the D does play and the QB sucks...well...not hard to see what the issue is: An overpaid mid QB who CAN'T make up for the D and compete when there's real pressure.

Eagles are a much better ran organization….but let’s pretend like they aren’t lol. Delusional.
Oh so the organization made him play clutch football? How did they do that?

Oh I get it! You're saying Dak needs to be propped up the same Hurts is propped up. Well, the thing is Hurts doesn't choke...he elevates his game and his team when it counts. Dak...well...it's been 10 years and I ain't seen him do it outside the NFC East.

Maybe...just maybe...you're focused on the posters and not their points. It's hard to "like" 7-9-1. And when there are complaints, well-deserved criticism is spun as "hate" by people who blame Jerry for Dak scheming to get every red penny. Not much to love there.

Criticism is one thing. But extremes that aren’t true are another. Can you please explain what scheming Dak did? He did what 99% of other players do. If I missed something shady he did, please let me know.

No problem with your post. I respect it. But you still haven't given me the name or names of any quarterback or team in NFL history that has ever won a playoff game committing a league record 14 penalties while facing an opponent with a number one ranked defense.

If no team has ever done that, then why would you expect Dak and/or the Dallas Cowboys to have done it? Again, im just talking about the first 49ers playoff game.

Then you said "the quarterback has to compensate for the lack. If the D is having a tough day then the quarterback has to score until the defense figure it out".

Again I respect your take. So my next question to you is, why was a GOAT quarterback and first ballot HOFer unable keep scoring until his defense figured it out and got beat by a team led by Eli Manning TWICE? Eli Manning who isn't even in the HOF was able to figure out the way to lead his team to not one, but TWO Superbowl wins over a quarterback like Brady who's considered the GOAT?

You care to explain how that was possible according to your logic of what quarterbacks are expected to do? How does a HOF GOAT like Brady fail to compensate and keep scoring until his defense figured it out TWICE against a team led by a quarterback who isn't even a HOFer?

Damn Eagles, and more importantly, Howie and Lurie are the fly in the ointment.

Well, that and

Belichick/Reid vs Garrett/McCarthy/Schottenheimer

Brady/Mahomes vs Dak

Belichick/Veach vs Captain Clownshow

Honestly, of the three most critical factors in Championship success, QB is the third most damning issue for the Cowboys

Strength of division certainly plays a big role, but not as much as the others
