Where have you been the last decade. When did Dak with his arm talent like John Elway in Cleveland twice, Staubach in Minnesota and San Francisco, Mahomes his entire career when not blowing his knee out, and Joey Football Burrow in KC get his team out of the divisional round to beat a good or superior team? NEVER!!!!!!!!!

So he should not make statements his career has not justified. It lacks all credibility as a leader. He should have said,
"I need the defense to be the wheels on the bus and the offense the engine and I will drive it through the playoffs. So get the bus rolling. Its time for a victory tour. Everybody get on the bus, get rolling, and I'm driving!"

I’d prefer players don’t talk period. But to be honest, I don’t listen to what players, coaches or GMs say anymore. And if I catch or see a statement, unless it’s something completely outlandish, I don’t care. And I think too many are making way more out of what Dak said than need be.

This season just became more interesting! I hope the defense is top 5 so Dak is forced to prove it!
I just remember this defense holding the 49ers to 19 points and Dak led the team to 12. Against Eagles in a win and your in the playoffs game we saw the defense hold the Eagles to 13 and Dak led the team to 9. The Cowboys defense is going to have to be awful good for Aubrey to kick enough field goals to win 3 playoff games in a row.

Good take...I'd very much love to end the "it's the defense's fault" narrative. Let Dak show what he's worth without that excuse.

All the Romo lovers came over from the old official Cowboys website and turned this one into a Dak hating one. In that old website, it was excuses for Romo 24/7, 365 days/year. They even created a strictly positive thread for Romo. If you said anything negative about Romo in there, you were automatically suspended for a whole week. That's how infatuatedly messed up these guys have gotten.

I think Dak Prescott, like any other quarterback, is self-assured in his own abilities--despite what every critic might state to the contrary. For that reason, I believe he meant exactly what he said. Every individual is unique, so other quarterbacks might have phrased it differently.
