Shavon Revel is the key for the CB position moving forward!

I also think Durant can at least be an improvement. He may have something more to him than the guys we had on last year's squad.

Rams fans liked him.

I also think people underestimate Christian Parker's ability to do something Matt Eberflus never could: coach football.

I'm so ready to see Downs play.
Get in line!

We are an Ohio St. family. Of course we all went crazy draft night when Downs was falling even though we knew he wouldn't make it to us. Next thing you know my son was on his phone (shocker) and yelled WE JUST TRADED UP!!!!!!! After several painful minutes of waiting for the pick, there was pure jubilation and excitement when Downs was announced as the pick.

So, I have already bought my son a Downs jersey and have it wrapped up in Dallas Cowboys wrapping paper. I'll put it in front of the tv where he will see it first thing when he gets up and walks in the living room the morning of our season opener. I can't wait to see his face.

Yeah, we are kind of ready to see him play too!!!

MIght be the opposite.

I saw glimpses of what Revel can become from some of last year . He’s a bigger CB who can be physical provides run support and I expect INT’s out of him as he gets more and more PT .

I saw another thread that said Downs will spend a lot of his rookie year as slot corner. If Bland and Revel can stay healthy you add Downs then you have Thompson Locke & Hooker as back stops at safety that’s a group I look forward to seeing .

And you have Durant the ex Ram and Steward a scrappy corner , let’s go I’m pumped .

We have no idea how Parker will do as a DC. We know that Eber was successful as a DC in INDY, and that he had no talent here. Our D will be better, absolutely, we have scads more talent than we did. Can Parker maximize it? To be seen.

I hope the PT doesn’t stand for physical therapy. Lol

O-H-I-O!!!

Coming out many respected draft insiders viewed Revel as a 1st rd talent, but fell in the draft due to tearing his acl.
Stopped reading here. How many times have we heard this bullfeces when it comes to Cowboys draft pick gambles.

Pretty much the same group, I am skepticial.
No it isn’t. There is a good mixture of new talent and some of those guys didn’t have a full year together. Of course, we will all see, let’s hope for the best.

He has elite physical traits, but is a raw prospect that needs a ton of development. Surtain when he was drafted was almost fully developed and ready to hit the ground running.
They have different lineage. That’s the main difference in their skill set.

I’d say we also know a few other things.

We know that Eber was successful several years ago.

And we know he’s been an absolute train wreck since, failing spectacularly in multiple areas.

And he was run out of town in Dallas after one season. We also knows he was the Joneses personal choice so we know that they tried everything they could to justify it and make things work. Even they couldn’t justify keeping him around.

He can’t even get a coordinator job anywhere.

We also know that Parker is on the rise, and has excelled everywhere he’s been up to this point.

We also know he’s regularly coaching his secondary players to the Pro Bowl.

We know that Parker’s stock is on the rise and Eberflus stock has fallen.
