Dicker the Kicker is the most accurate kicker in NFL history so I’d lean that way but I’m really happy to have Aubrey.

Aubrey has a better nickname for sure

Aubrey kicks a much higher percent of long FG’s. If Dicker had as many long FG attempts as Aubrey their is a very good chance Aubrey would have a higher FG percentage than Dicker.

Wrong? No. Silly? Well, that depends if you subscribe to any superstition. Objectively, yeah, it's pretty silly, but there's something about kickers, isn't there? They say QB is the most cerebral position in football, or possibly any sport, but if a Kicker's mind isn't right he will miss — and that's his ONE job.

Maybe if he had not had a bit of a slump. He was 9 of 13 the last four games. Improve that to 11 of 13 and there's not much of a chink in his armor. I do think what they were trying to do on kickoffs didn't work out as well as they intended, but again, I think we have a poor ST coach.

50+ is almost always considered the “long” category.

Dicker: 21-27 (77.8%)
Aubrey: 35-44 (79.5%)

Aubrey does have six between 60-65

Aubrey is close to the best if not the best.

But his accuracy dipped a little bit in 2025 because of the amount of times the Cowboys made him try 55 to 60 plus yard field goals. He proved he is human last season.

But Anderson was on bad teams. Good teams need reliable kicking. Flashback to Brett Maher shanking four straight extra points in the playoff win against Tampa Bay a few years ago. Blindfold Aubrey and he doesn't do that.

Probably not. Hes certainly close, but the problem Aubrey has is that what hes doing isnt nearly as special as it once was. There has been an explosion of kickers who can make 60+ yard FGs. I'd probably take Jason Myers and Cam Little over Aubrey. I might slide Aubrey in at the #3 position, but could see arguments for a couple others there too.

I don't know about best, but I think he "changed the game" in a major way. He was the first to consistently make BOMBS and I think you're seen that effect with guys in Jacksonville and elsewhere.

I agreed with you with my first sentence. However, I remember how dependent the Saints offense was on Anderson's leg (and he delivered a lot). However, you needs not just score FGs, but need to score TDs. Score TDs always, and FGs when you can't. Being a Cowboys fan in New Orleans, LA, Every time the Cowboys played the Saints, I would say the Saints would score FGs but the Cowboys would win with TDs.

Cowboys have had a lot of great kickers but only a few Super Bowl Kickers, Clark, Herrera, Elliott, Murray and Boniol. The only Cowboys kicker I remember beside these was Rafael Septien for good reasons on the field and a bad reason off the field.
