Top 5 NFL Offenses for 2026 per PFN

never heard of pro football network or Ian Cummings. Im thinkin they probably dont know anymore than we do.

Strong Cowboy endorsement by this writer........especially as a non-playoff team last season.

With a top-five offense, you don’t need a top-five defense to make the playoffs, you just need a defense that’s above average to keep your points per game sustainable. If your defense is elite, you’ll likely be a top seed. If it’s below average (not dead last), you’ll still might be playoff-eligible but may face tougher opponents and have a shorter run. If we in fact end up top five in offense and our defense can at least improve to just above average we will be in the play offs.

You mean like with Quinn where we had a top 3 defense for multiple seasons ?

What was our playoff "experience" again ? I cant remember right now....

WHY are you quoting 'experience'? His post made no mention of the word........it was making the playoffs.

BTW......We never had a "top 3 defense" under Quinn
2021.......#7
2022.......#6
2023.......#5

Chicago and NE above Dallas is pretty wild lol
Yeah, that’s wild. Dak has proven he’s near MVP caliber in the regular season, over several years. A healthy plus Dak plus 2 all pro wr and our Te and Rb…..na, no way those two are above us, Seattle too…..we better than all those teams except LA.

Oh you mean this same Quinn whose top 3 defenses that contributed to opposing offenses being able to gash his Cowboys led defenses with these types of rushing yards in the playoffs?

According to what I see, they weren't top 3 in the playoffs unless you see something i don't. Im not excusing our offense for their output in the playoffs, but please don't act like Quinn had our playoff defenses playing like the 85 Bears or 2000 Ravens.

Not even close.

I was quoting experience because i used it not in the way the words meaning is defined but with a different meaning.

To make this more understandable, i quoted it. Seems it still doesnt help.

So now, after you made that clear what does it say about the post i answered to?

Dude ..........you used to quote someone. There's nothing wrong with admitting a mistake; you are human. Please don't act like you are the smartest person in the room.

And Quinn's 'top 3 defenses'??????

Fun Fact: a year agi at this time, PFN predicted the Top 5 offenses for this past season.

Among their top 5: Arizona (finished so poorly they got a top 3 draft pick)

Tampa Bay.
Baltimore.

They only got Detroit and Buffalo correct, but predicted the Lions would be #1 (barely slipped in at 5), and they completely missed the LA Rams.

Wow. It's almost like they have no clue about what will happen in the future, and only take what happened the previous year and use that to predict the next year.

But that can't be possible. That would make them a bunch of know-nothing frauds

LOL

Honestly i dont like it if somebody else tells me what i meant to do. Especially if i explained it afterwards.

I didnt want to quote nobody. If i did i would have used the quoting tags.

The problem we have here is not that i act like i am the smartest in the room. The problem is that you cant acknowledge that you intepreted something wrong. And you solution to it is instead of questioning yourself you question me.

The OP was about Dallas being projected as a top 5 offense for the upcoming season. My post was merely an optimistic observation that if we can improve our defensive ranking from the dreadful defenses of the past two seasons to at least above average, we can likely move on to the playoffs.

You responded to my post with two questions: "You mean like with Quinn where we had a top 3 defense for multiple seasons?" My response to that would be: Yes, like the seasons with Dan Quinn as the DC in 21,22 and 23. However, for the record none of those defenses for those three years with Dan Quinn as DC were top 3 "over all" ranked but likely top 4 thru 8 overall. IMO

Your second question was: "What was our playoff "experience" again? I can't remember right now". My response is: Please see my response to question number 1.

A Top 5 Quarterback. #1 in lowest 3 and out percentage and there are still people dissing this offense. Wildest takes on this keeps getting shot out on this board.
