Snowden suspended 3 games

Suspending a player for 3 games is weird ..

It makes me wonder if the NFL did that to allow the appeal process to knock it down to 2 games which is probably what they wanted.

Three games is normal and somewhat standardized.

Only three active players with a conviction or no contest.

Snowden: 3 games
Jordan Addison: 3 games
Demarcus Robinson: 3 games

Tracy Walker has one pending, I’m sure he’ll get three games also.

This isn’t the old “anti-cowboy” bias. The last time I saw anything thet reeked of something being personal was the fiasco with Zeke.

I wasn't thinking about bias .. I was thinking more along the lines of what the CBA allows. I did not realize they changed it to 3 games at some point as the NFLPA would have had to agree to that.

Oh I agree there should be more punishment but 3 games? That's way too harsh unless there's more to this than we know.

I think 3 games is a strange number, but like I said, with all the resources in place for players to avoid this, it should be more.

Yeah the timing is shady. But ultimately this "story" is a nothing burger. Longshot to make the team. And if he did, unlikely to ever be active barring a slew of injuries. The Jones Boys can go raid another UFL roster for a similar level player.

So he made a deal with prosecutors in 2024 to avoid a conviction. And now in 2026 3 weeks after he signs with the Cowboys the league decides to suspend him. That makes the league look shady as heck. Goodell really hates the Cowboys being so popular.

The reason he wasn’t suspended until he signed with the Cowboys is because until that point he wasn’t an NFL employee.

I’m sure that when the Cowboys signed him they knew a suspension was coming as it is part of the CBA.

That’s true. Not knowing what issues he’s had before could be a factor

Thanks for the clarity on the timeline. I have no problem with the punishment, DUI/DWI are serious problems, and avoidable. I do have a big problem with how slow the justice system operates, but that gripe doesn't belong here.

What they can do is activate him but do not intend to play him. Therefore the 3 game suspension would be served.

That was my reaction. Scrolling to find someone who said it since it seems fairly obvious.

Make the team first, then we will deal with Roger. Was it just a DUI? Three games? Seems harsh but ok.

Those Vegas dudes just seem to love boozing it up and getting behind the wheel. There’s plenty of excuses for doing the former, but don’t make the dumb choice of driving, especially in a time where a ride is a couple of clicks away at all times.

That makes sense if the plea agreement wasn't in effect until 26. Thanks
