I saw Brandon Aubrey at a grocery store in Dallas one time. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn't want to be a ****** and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, "Oh, like you're doing now?" I was taken aback, and all I could say was "Huh?" but he kept cutting me off and going "huh? huh? huh?" and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like "Sir, you need to pay for those first." At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually "to prevent any electrical infetterence," and then turned around and winked at me. I don't even think that's a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

I wish I got to meet #40 Bill Bates. He is a true Cowboy that always answered the bell. Sad that he got sick.

The only former Cowboy I've ever met was Andy Dalton, whom I ran into locally having breakfast with Greg Olsen and their wives. They were at a bakery my cousin worked at the time. I didn't say much since they were with their ladies, but that was a class group.

I was walking from the train station to my job in NYC a long time ago and I got to a corner with a "Don't Walk" sign so I had to wait for the light to change before I could cross the street. Standing next to me was none other than Ed "Too Tall" Jones. He was on his way to the boxing gym in the Times Square area which was just up the block. It was during his boxing career. I did not speak to him. I was young and he was an imposing figure. Living in NJ I don't see many Cowboys players.

I met Crazy Ray before the T'giving game during Randy Moss' rookie year. I still have the sweatshirt and program with his autograph. Nice man....

Haven't met any, but when camp was in Wichita Falls I saw Jerry and Emmitt (with Robert Thomas) just a couple seats away in a Tex-Mex restaurant, and saw Troy and Dat at the bar everyone went to. In DFW area I've been at the restaurant bar when Newman at one place and Ware at another picked up an order. Ware stood right next to me for a few minutes while he waited. Big dude.

"Met" is a relative term. I have seen several out in public and away from fb. Guys at autograph signing events, public appearances and such. I even have played in golf events (scrambles) that active and former Cowboys were also playing. Virtually all of those experiences were pleasant. Most pro athletes are very aware of their public image and want to leave fans with a positive experience if possible.

Did he really say "infetterence" or did you misunderstand it and he said "interferences" which would be the right word.

The way you wrote about him he is either very arrogant or was drunken. I honestly doubt he is that kind of an arsehole though. Maybe you were drunk ?

Played golf with Emmitt, Doug Flutie and Jerry Rice in Vegas. Emmitt and Doug are great guys who talked to me the whole round. Rice acted like I didn’t exist

Doug was extremely well liked here in WNY. It was good to see him get a shot at NFL success

My daughter played Junior Volleyball few years back and we went to a tournament she had in Dallas. Troys daughter was in the same tournament and he showed up for the entire tournament. No one bothered him and was just enjoying his daughter play.

He was in great shape. I never bothered him either, but we did do the head fake thing at one point Haha. Unfortunately my daughters team never got to play his daughters team they were in different brackets.

I met Lance Dunbar at my weed man's apartment once. Ive met Staubach, Randy White, and Pearson. All 3 were super cool. Pearson took a pic of my Landry tattoo, and said he was going to "send it to Tommy Jr." I met Irvin in the 90's, and we were wearing the east same jeans (Girbaud), and he said "nice pants, kid." (Lol). I met Dez at the Northpark mall. He's so unbelievably DUMB.

I met several cowboys “in the wild” but the one that always stuck with me was Robert Newhouse.

I was at a field day event for my elementary school and although he didn’t have a kid at our school he was there. He was really gracious and genuine. I asked him about Doug Dennison who, for some reason, was one of my favorite cowboys at the time and he said he was a great guy. He asked me questions about my events that day and cheered me I competed in the Potato Sack race. At least he was clapping and waved so I thought it was all for me so I tried extra hard!

He became my favorite cowboy that day and has always been a near and dear part of my fandom.

Troy Aikman - at an autograph show. He wanted to spend time with the fans, but they kept pushing the line through.
Troy Vincent and another Dolphins player were there. Aikman's line was 10 times larger than the Dolphins players. This was the summer before the 1992 season. I got lucky and my son and I were like #35 in line. Must have been 200 more behind us a little later.
Randy White - also at an autograph / card show, did not know it was going on
Both were at a huge outlet mall in Ft. Lauderdale.

Dat Nguyễn - ất the stadium, they had a former player in the area where my season tickets were. for each game. But I missed many of them by the time I got to the game.

All good experiences.

Got to talk to Randy for a good 15 minutes, and he let me try on his SB ring. The show was basically over but he was still sitting there. Stood up shook my hand. we talked while my wife went and bought a miniature helmet for him to autograph.

Met Tony Dorsett's ex wife at the Palm Beach Gardens mall in a Sears store.
She seen my Cowboys shirt and hat. And started talking to my wife and I.
She did have pictures of her and Tony and their son Anthony as he was going into college.
Said she doesn't usually do that. But after we talked for about 5 minutes, she said who she was after she knew I knew my stuff about the Cowboys.

Met Emmitt Smith buying shoes in Kenneth Cole at the Galleria in Dallas.

Didn't realize it was him until I noticed his massive diamond encrusted watch. Chatted for a few minutes while we tried on shoes. Lovely guy.
Shook his hand and didn't ask for a selfie.

Herschel Walker - saw him within last couple years at dinner in Atlanta when he was running for state senate. Said hello. Looks the same.
Bob Hayes - Dallas alley on Wed ladies night at the boiler room. He looked super skinny and was chain smoking. Shook his hand and called hum bullet. He seemed lit.
