Yes this has been discussed as well. This can also be all over the place.
They have LB, CB, Edge.
And all legitimate concerns. As we have no idea who will step up in the new defensive scheme.

They addressed the entire defense in the off season. Many new players and coaches.
As we all said, need to wait and see it on the field.

I do not have one position over any other at this time, except maybe ILB slightly over the others.

Alot of it is based on if my back is acting up.

I've found that addressing it from an unorthodox stance can sometimes lead to leg spasms and pelvic dislocation.

I thank the OP for the question though.

Edge.

When your entire pass rush hopes revolve around a rookie taken bottom third of the first round, you’re in trouble.
Very fair point but I believe that CPs scheme will eliminate the need for a war daddy and the position will be efficiently done by committee.

If CP can pull this off, thousands of children will be named Christian that are born in the greater Dallas Fort Worth area as well as Rio Linda

We actually won't know until the season. There are some needs that seem obvious, but may not be. Edge and CB come to mind, as well as OLT. We have several talent players for both edge and CB. Only question is to see if they can play at an NFL level.

You trying to stir my passion?

Our position of most pressing need is GM!! I know, I know....he's not a player. I'll see myself out.
Followed by QB....

offense:QB and C.
if our starters go down....

defense-DE
you can never have enough pass rushers.
never.

over-all...edge.

I hear you but that is the *exact* message that Jerry and Stephen sat up there and told us six days before kickoff.

“We like our guys” is the all time classic way that this front office says “our guys kinda suck but we are hoping to get lucky.”

Parker doesn’t look to be Eberflus, but even if he was Belichik, I’m not sure he could get this d-line going this year.

Hard to say with so many new faces in a completely new system with a guy calling defensive plays that has never done it before. We need to see how things work in a game.

The guy is a first time DC.... how would anyone know what his scheme is going to be?

Unusual middle names…

Quarterback-in-Waiting

The Cowboys have consistently ignored the quarterback position in the draft. I would be shocked if the Cowboys were not the team to draft the least number of quarterbacks over the past thirty years.

The last time the Cowboys took a QB in the 1st or 2nd day of the draft was 2001 when they took Quincy Carter in the 2nd round.

They are the only team not to take a QB in teh 1st round over the past 30 years.

The Cowboys were miraculously fortunate with drafting Dak in the 4th round. He wasn't the QB they wanted. However, he had a historical rookie season and he is a top ten QB for his career. However, the Cowboys cannot rely on his health today and Milton and Howell are backup material for a few games, nothing more.

If Dak goes down it is season over, unlike 2016 when Romo went down. Does anyone remember 2015?

The Cowboys could use help in other areas but it be all for nothing without a viable alternative should Dak is inured long term.

Nothing wrong with being a Doubting Thomas and I guess its just the optimistic "homer" in me that believes he will be the change agent.

I try to temper my expectations but its just that the man is special and I have to pinch myself just to verify that we really got an empathetic, cerebral and articulate leader of men

Top 10 defense or bust baby!
