The Worst Defenses the Top 10 QBs Have Had

Scoring D? That is a complete crapp way to rate a D.

Hurts was not good in 2023. Poor passer rating, as he threw 15 picks. Hurts didn't lead them anywhere, the rushing game did.
There are certainly more variables. This list acts like it's all on the quarterback to overcome the scoring defense. Running game is a factor. Turnovers are a factor. Offensive line is a factor. Receivers are a factor. Special teams is a factor. Coaching is a factor.

Here's some of the other defenses Dak has had:

2016: Ranked 5th in Team Defense (Ezekiel Elliott was also the NFL Rushing Leader)
2018: Ranked 6th in Team Defense (Ezekiel Elliott was also the NFL Rushing Leader)
2021: Ranked 7th in Team Defense, and Ranked 1st in Takeaways
2022: Ranked 6th in Team Defense, and Ranked 1st in Takeaways
2023: Ranked 5th in Team Defense

Poor Dak has never had any help at all. </sarcasm>

What am I missing here? If you're only going to use one metric doesn't points allowed make the most sense to use?
Yards allowed is by far the most accurate way to judge a D.

Points allowed would have to extrapolate out the points allowed on TOs and STs and take into account field position and TOP by the O. Every yard allowed on D was allowed by the D. Not every point is.

Interesting........only two players on the list have Super Bowl rings ( Hurts isn't listed )

Not sure on the others, but this botched the Dak line. They used the 2024 team, which was his worst (until maybe last year?), as the worst one in the playoffs. Which is wrong, 2024 wasn't in the playoffs, and the 2023 numbers were much better than what they put on there.

So, they used the 2024 numbers as if it was for the 2023 team.

Edit: The Mahomes line is off as well. The 2018 Chiefs were 24th in points allowed (31st in Yards). So, I think you can safely throw this image out with the trash where it belongs.
