Execs, coaches, scouts rank top NFL quarterbacks for 2026

So....let's pause for a second here. What makes Dak "good". SO good everyone needs to acknowledge just how dang good he really is.

I remember some people saying "Dak doesn't pass to himself" and "Dak doesn't block for himself". Etc etc.

You're right, he doesn't pass to himself or doesn't catch the passes or block up front for himself.... but when he gets enough time to pass the ball and receivers catch them, then the whole offense is good because everyone is doing their jobs.

Then you ask the question, "what makes Dak good"? If you watch football and knee the slightest thing about NFL quarterbacks, then you wouldn't ask such a dumb question. But I'll play along....

1. Dak is a 4th round drafted quarterback that has outplayed pretty much every quarterback in his draft class and has played better than lots of quarterbacks who were drafted in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounds.

2. Dak has been a perennial top 10 quarterback every year he's finished the season healthy, and has become an All-Pro and MVP candidate.

3. Despite playing behind a 21st ranked offensive line last year, he helped our offense become the 2nd overall ranked offense in the NFL and also top 3, top 4 in passing yards.

4. Last season Dak was tied for 1st place with Matthew Stafford for passes completed over 40 yards.

So with just those few things stated, ive never said Dak was elite, but I'd like to respectfully ask you to tell me how could a quarterback who is NOT good, are able to do the things i posted above.

Lastly if you believe Dak is not a good quarterback despite being top 10 every season he completes healthy and was currently ranked 4th just last season, then kindly explain what that makes all of the quarterbacks who are beneath his quarterback ranking every season.

I know people like to attach playoff records to quarterbacks so Herbert doesn't have any playoff records to attach his name to. That makes him better than a quarterback that has a couple playoff wins?

I just always hear about Herbert’s cannon and arm and just don’t see it. I don’t mean in drills he for sure looks great in drills…I just don’t see it on the field. All hype.

It’s also kind of wild the Chargers have their best year limiting his attempts.

Limiting his attempts had nothing to do with the chargers doing better. It was the coaching and only the coaching. I happen to watch a lot of Chargers games and my eyes tell me Herbert is stronger. Maybe my eyes are better than yours. lol. Just kidding.

The Dallas Cowboys offense collectively is very good. But the Cowboys most recent defense was ranked 32nd.

He's had some really good players around him.... well that's usually what it takes for quarterbacks to help their teams be successful.

That can be said about every quarterback not named Mahomes or Brady. As great as Mahomes is, how far was he able to go last year without really good players around him?

Here's another great example.... Matthew Stafford didn't win his first playoff game until his 11th or 12th season in the league. He had alot of really good players when he went to the Rams, correct? Its not a coincidence that he didn't have any playoff success until he left Detroit.

So to conclude.... your statement about a quarterback being good because he has really good players around him is as much of a NEWS FLASH as saying water is wet.....

I got to address the last lie that you told. You said I am a Dak fan before I am a Cowboys fan.... thats the dumbest comment that could ever have been typed, but im truly not surprised. Here's two reasons why that comment makes absolutely no sense at all....

1. Ive been a Cowboys fan since the late 70s, decades before Dak was born, I've been to many, many games in Dallas and all around the country years before Dak was born, and I was fortunate enough to have been to all three Superbowls around the time Dak was a toddler and nobody knew who he was.

2. I cheer for every player that wear the Dallas Cowboys uniform and Dak still wear the star on his helmet the last time i checked. I was a fan of every Dallas Cowboys player in the past, im a fan of every current Dallas Cowboys player presently, and i will be a fan of the future Dallas Cowboys players in the future as long as im alive.

That's why its super stupid to act like its a negative thing to cheer on and be a fan of players on your favorite team. This is the only fanbase I have ever witnessed in sports who claim to cheer for their favorite team.... yet cheer against players on their favorite team.

When Dak leaves the Cowboys, I will be a fan of his replacement and on and on and on. Quick update! Fans cheer for the players on their "so called" favorite team.
