Current list of top free agents still available

i'd take russell wilson or jimmy g as QB2.

david or white at LB.

i'd love to see us bring back s donovan wilson.
always a fan of his.
not shy or bashful about contact.
Russell Wilson retired. He’s a studio analyst for CBS’ “The NFL Today”.

Injuries do happen at the start of camp. I'm sure that if we sign someone from that list it will because of an injury. I hope and pray we don't. The little cap we have left will be saved for that reason.

Who are your Hall of Famers on this team?

On offense: Tyreek Hill, maybe Russell Wilson, Keenan Allen?
On defense: Von Miller, Bobby Wagner
Possibly. I don't think any of the running backs held their success long enough. Not sure on Ertz or Harrison Smith. Probably the same thing ... their peak didn't last long enough. Ertz is fifth all-time in receptions among tight ends and eighth in yards, though.

Becton surprises me the most. He has proven to be a solid starting guard in the league….unless there’s something I missed, which is very possible.
He’s been really inconsistent and had a lot of injuries .

Super hyped coming into the league then stopped taking care of his body, got fat, got cut.

Went to the eagles and was greet as a guard and then signed with the chargers, had more injuries and sucked and got cut again.

Just wildly inconsistent, often injured and questionable mindset. Great talent though

The more I look at him the more I want to bring in Matt Milano

  • Weak side LB.
  • Similar to Overshown and would help with injury protection
  • Really good sideline to sideline
  • Terrific cover linebacker against tight ends and screens
  • Respectded by teammates
  • Often injured
  • Would get a one year incentive based prove it deal in the $3-5m range which is our sweet spot.
Get on board boys!

Can’t really disagree, but to the point where he isn’t signed at all?

Maybe he wants too much money, couldn’t know, but a guy who has had weight problems should not be in the category of a “I don’t need an entire camp” crew.

There’s gotta be more to it

Before last season Milano and the Bills renegotiated their deal. They cut a year off because he wanted a crack at free agency agency. It also gave them some cap relief

He was pretty healthy last year but his play did not stand up to previous years. The team drafted the TCU linebacker to replace him.

So, there’s risk, but there always is when you’re talking $3m free agents. If they were sure things, a player with that skillse Is an $8m player

He could be another Logan Wilson, or he could be a little bit of insurance if Overshown gets hurt again

There just aren’t many slam dunks out there on defense

I think a big part is the money.

He signed a big deal with the chargers but it wasn’t heavily guauranteed, so when his play sucked and his health was an issue they just cut him. It will save them $10m

I bet he’s wanting to get that money back but he’s been so wildly up and down and injury prone that no one will give him what he wants

If he’d sign for $5m he’d have a job, but he probably still thinks he’s a starting level OT, which he was once, instead of a depth OG, which he actually is now.

I'd love to see it ... even if it was just for exhibition purposes, just to see how they'd do. NFL could use it as a way to shop these veterans to teams. Someone get the NFLPA on this quickly!
It'd be fun to see a geezers vs. rookies exhibition game!

I’m surprised he had to settle for a contract of that nature after the season he had two years ago.

There is a reason they are still unemployed.

They are past their prime and too pricy.
2027.......build it steadily but patiently.

When the opportunity presents itself...strike, but otherwise dont overreach nor overpay

They can only play 11 at a time. They probably end up a little bit short, but they have a shot.
I think most fans realize going from 30th defense to top 10 in one year is incredibly hard.

I cant speak for everybody but id like to see CPs defense in action and further evaluate what's working and what's not before taking deeper dives in FA

He was a member of the LB group that was 31st in the NFL against the run. 6’0” 221lb’s. I’ll pass unless he wants to sign for the minimum. Be nice to have another veteran around for depth.

Eagles had younger, cheaper and at least equal level guard behind him.

Chargers simply overpaid and the Eagles, having a top GM in the league, saw Becton for what he is and let LA have him

I'd pass as well. He's Logan Wilson 2.0 at this point in his career.
I think he retires within a year or two.
