Not sure I am following you here. Are you saying that the past has NO meaning on what is to be put forward and what has happened because of the salary cap?

First of all... Six goes WAY back. To the days when people "like many on this forum" thought Quincy Carter was going to make Aikman and Staubach look like Tony Eason. To dismiss him as some guy that lost his meds, well... good luck with that. Seems like a bridge too far to me! He's usually right and people hate it (in my experience). I wasn't posting here at the time but whoever said those things about Quincy Carter it mustve just been Cowboys fans online.

Real life Cowboys fans and others never had any expectation for that guy. He was as irrelevant as there was and never showed anything but.

I just think that guy needs to chill a bit. He's getting a bit upset just because we're keeping this debate two sided. Haters want to overtake this forum and that just isn't happening.

What are "haters" exactly? People that don't cheerlead for a guy in uniform or wear "the Star"? Might "Haters", sometimes be realistic people that just want BETTER results. No??

Remember the Quincy days?? What is happening now reminds me of it, not because Dak is as BAD as Quincy was. He absolutely isn't THAT bad. It's just because people can't accept the stark reality of the fact that Dak hit his ceiling and that ceiling isn't where it needs to be. It's as simple as that to me.

I’m saying I don’t hold these guys to the same standards as a dynasty and one of the greatest teams of all time. I’m not saying it’s wrong to. I’m just saying I’ve lowered my standards…

Haters...are people not happy with Dak, accused of it by by people that hate Romo.

Dak was the worst player on the field in the first half of that GB game. He did more to put us behind than even the horrible defense did. Funny, but he only started playing well when the GB lead was impossible to overcome. No more pressure at that point.

Then there's those of us who know both QBs are chokers. Peas in a pod. I'm sure Jerry will complete the hat trick and find another bum who can "hang around the rim", but never win anything important once Dak retires.

What relevance does what any Cowboys QB did during this era of football have on this era of football as a whole? The mediocrity has continued to fester, and people are fine with it, we'll get 'em next year, and if not at least we have stats.

Haters of whom? Haters of the Cowboys or simply just not a fan or believer of a player on that team? Some of us are Cowboys fans for live, and think the mediocrity of the team has to end. Others are fans of a player and fine with mediocrity.

Not sure what your argument is here. Nobody is fine with mediocrity. We’ve all wanted a new GM or owner and it hasn’t happened. The fans aren’t the problem with the Cowboys you guys have to stop that.

That is the perception some people on here give off. Everyone knows that the owner/GM are the main problem. But there is nothing we can do about that but wait for him to die and then get replaced by the next owner/GM through nepotism who probably will be just as bad. Where people on this board differ, is that some think we have mediocrity at the quarterback position in the playoffs, and that has been ongoing for more than one quarterback. Then we have another side who praises the quarterback position because of the regular season, and nobody argues that the cowboys can win during the regular season; it is a different game.

The perception that half the board has is that the other half of the board is happy with crumbs (regular season stats) when all that matters in the end is playoff performance.

This gets further exasperated when people post threads like this, propaganda with the premise that the quarterback is one of the best in the league against playoff opponents, but there is a big asterisks that it is playoff opponents in non-playoff games. The title itself isn't proper English since it doesn't get the true meaning across. It should be said versus teams that made the playoffs that season, while playing against them during the regular season, to get the right meaning across.

It is threads like this that make us wary against the good faith intention of the original posters of such content. It also demonstrates that some people are happy being fed scraps, and quarterback stats, that happen during the regular season, instead of being concerned about the current 2-5 playoff record. I mean the certain people who rejoices, saying that they were right all along and this thread makes the so called haters look foolish. But then like I said, it is threads like this that just reinforces the view many have that some people only care about the regular season and stats and have no real hunger for playoff wins and are fine with maintaining the current mediocrity status quo. And like I said, I am expecting another is the quarterback elite thread before the end of the season by one of the people who rejoiced in this thread. It is no wonder that other teams fans laugh at our fan base.

Not 1 person is a fan of 1 player only. That’s just something you haters say to make yourself feel better. In other words, you’re lying to yourself, you know it, and you’re ok with it.

It's quite comical that somebody with the mind of, and acts like, a 3-year-old has the nerve to accuse somebody of being out of touch with reality. Do yourself a favour and look in the mirror, and tell everybody what you see. Your reality is full of hate, and likely the internal type as well
