At least they're close to having some consistency - more times than not they can't get past the wildcard round.
That game took something out of me that I haven't gotten back yet.2023 loss was such a killer........we advanced to the divisional round the year before. Almost dominated the 2023 regular season. Home playoff game against the Packers, and we not only lost but also showed up looking like a Division I college football team, totally unprepared. It was just one unit; it was the ENTIRE TEAM.
I will always believe something happened that week or a couple of days before the game that had players thinking all they had to do was show up and bag the win. What a waste.......![]()
100%That game took something out of me that I haven't gotten back yet.
And since then the Cowboys have gone 14-19-1 so I am thinking it took something out of them, too.
You left out the part about wasting 2 years and potentially having more draft capital to retool with. Their records going forward will show what they show but almost everyone here would have rather had an accomplished coach to Schotty at the time. That’s exactly what they’ve done just switch Harbaugh with Schotty. Harbaugh is overrated IMO.

Same. This off-season has gotten me out of it a bit, but that was horribly deflating….and the events thereafter (or lack thereof) was a massive slap in the face, even for Jerry. That game took something out of me that I haven't gotten back yet.

I do. Just not 24x7x365 like you. See the difference? You probably don’t.Rockport: "Even I criticize the team sometimes"
Also Rockport: Ignores criticism of the taem
The irony here is that Jerry is the face of the team. He’s done everything in his power to become that.Just a casual nitpick of the replying tweeter 'Cassius' response of a graphic including a since departed head coach and current starting quarterback. He embeds playoff results of 1999 through 2023.
Would it be more appropriate to subtract those images and replace them with a pic of... I don't know... this is a wild guess... I mean he says playoff results from the 90s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s... something is picking at the back of my brain... maybe someone directly influencing ALL those playoff teams... someone like...
Well, dang it. I forgot about Mad Genius.![]()
^ I think that is the one thing everyone--fans, players, coaches, media, etc.,--can agree on.The irony here is that Jerry is the face of the team. He’s done everything in his power to become that.
He sure does not love his self. As a matter of fact he "hates" himself and comes here to spread that hate to try and make himself feel better...but it's a worthless cause as most posters already know. Pathetic. He loves Jerry Jones.
Rockport: so even if valid criticism, just ignore it and thus you're fanning correctly.I do. Just not 24x7x365 like you. See the difference? You probably don’t.
That is the Jerry Jones factor. Here’s the playoff stat that drives me crazy:
That’s perspective.
- Cowboys playoff W/L 1966-96: 32 playoff wins in 31 seasons including 5 SB wins in 8 appearances, and 8 NFC championships in 12 appearances.
- Cowboys playoff W/L 1997-2026: 4 playoff wins in 30 seasons; zero conference championship appearances; zero SBs.
