It's quiet around here

7 so weeks away until we sit down and start talking about our practice week leading towards SNF for the NYG.

I have been a fan of this team for 25 years but I'm a young fan, only 33. Folks on here know more than me in terms of history and I'll always say watching versus the narrative on YouTube or through analysts is a different experience.

Doesn't this year feel a little bit quiet? I mean this as a good thing, the typical noise that's come out is a PS DUI and Dak Prescott leaving his girl. Not bad what we had last year with Micah and question marks surrounding the team. Diggs was always a huge question mark, Overshown was as well.

Relying on storylines of the past was something that always hung us up, but I feel like this year it's been a more business as usual tone in terms of expecting we just do football related activities and do not falter out of that routine. I really do think Schottenheimer is the best coach I've seen lead this team since Bill Parcels in my time, but time will tell he's given us the ability to rely on a fresh young mind and explore idea's this team would have not batted an eye to.

Some zoners still don't like GP and think he's toxic but in a vacuum what he give you for $27M flat is worth it, sometimes he looks better and more reliable than Ceedee, but I will always say Ceedee has the resume and we are still wondering if GP can do it again.

Either way, my point is this year looks like less distractions. The coaching staff seems to have the players focusing on football and Schottenheimer as proved he took what worked in MM's scheme and made it even better. There are holes, the team is questionable at RB after Jevonte and other depth pieces as well but I'm hoping there is a quiet storm brewing.
It feels a little different as the media on TV really havent talked about the Cowboys this off season. Yeah they bring them up here and ther but this off season has been more Rams, Broncos and Patriots talk then anything.

I beleive this season can be a change of culture season as we finally have 2 of the positions I been wanting to fill for years and that's DT and S.

the stupidity starts a week or so after the draft when everyone finishes their sackcloth and ashes act over the draft.

Mini camps mean nothing

from that point until camp starts the only thing newsworthy is something stupid are senile GM or his dumbo son say, or if one of our players does something stupid.

Ssshhh, @dupree89 and I are waiting for Coogis 14th thread of the day.

I usually use this time to compile my useless takes, uninformed opinions, tasteless jokes, and outright lies, so I can unleash them on the Zone once training camp starts.
I am watching the whole 2007 season again on youtube. It is pretty good so far. After 4 games cowboys were 4-0.
the games are edited so dont take long to watch.
Young Romo and alot of players that have been forgotten .Sam Hurd was a WR and did a good job, probably should have had craytons job , and maybe he catches that pass in playoff game.
4 games in and crayton has already had 2 big drops, but he makes some big plays too.

It’s quiet?
They must have locked Jerry in the basement!
:lmao:

He’s not lying.

You slobber over every player when they are on the team (Diggs, Parsons, Kenneth Murray, etc).

When they are gone, you lambast them and say “good riddance”.

You have always been a fair weather fan.

We don’t need haters like you around here. Go be a fan somewhere else.
Wait, you're suggesting that Dallas fans should continue support of players NOT in Dallas?
Derp.

Every topic under the sun has been beat to death, nothing but random ranking lists and speculation threads. Pretty much like any other year at this time. You may also have fewer posting as many 'I Think' may be wise to the Dallas hype machine and not invested enough to buy in anymore and post about whats being said

Man Jerry really supplied Tony a LOT of fire power withy Crayton and Hurd!:rolleyes:

The first time Caleb Downs gives up a touchdown pass in camp or the preseason, the first time Dak throws a pick in practice, and the first time a player strains a hamstring and this place will go into full meltdown mode.

Enjoy the last week of peace.
