It's quiet around here

We are going to need Guyton to seriously step it up this year. Everything else, imo, looks good (would like a little more depth at LB too, but it's better than it has been). Guyton is the one glaring area that I have concerns as far as our ability to contend well. I do NOT think we are in the stratosphere of the Rams yet (especially if they get Donald). However, if Guyton can step up, I think we CAN compete with everyone else in our conference.

It being really quiet between Mini-camp and training camp is a VERY good thing from the Cowboys. It beats scandals and other bad things that other years have sometimes shown us.

Can't wait for real football to pick back up though as TC starts. Go COWBOYS!

Both Tackle positions need serious improvement in play
the fixation on Guyton is ignoring the weakness at RT

True. But the seeming transformation started this year.

I don’t think we should ever think of things as just one year.

It’s the front offices job to field a good roster every year. We have been hearing “oh next year” and “oh give it time to develop” for as long as I can remember.

Just get it done and win. IMO
All that said. I am intrigued to see if Guyton can take a step forward. The raw talent is there.

I agree with everything you wrote. I’m just seeing things a little different from the norm since Micah’s trade. I just hope it holds up and Jerry stays in the background more in regards to decisions. Unfortunately, he’ll never shut his trap.

That's fair, and I agree that RT is a problem too. I mean, worst case scenario, they'd have to have a tight end to help one of those sides, but that's one less receiving option.
