Being positive vs negative all the time

This is a hoot reminds me of Mel Brooks History of the world.

Jerry's the king and of course it's good to be the king.

Rocky is the peasant being thrown from the catapult and he is elated and can stay positive as long as the king is just drifting to the left.
Lol

Well, what confuses me is, he claims that he works 80 hours a week! How the hell is that possible when all he does is come here to argue with everyone? lmao

Please don't do this. Now I will have History of the World Part 1 playing inside my head all day. Not for the peasant reference but because of the cat catapult scene.

Again, complaining about it ALL the time is not going to change anything. Just makes you more bitter.
Rocky, You literally started this thread as backdoor way to complain about those you view as complainers. The same complainers you complain about ALL the time. You get bitterer and bitterer by the day it seems.

You remind me of a neighbor I have. He hates German Shepherds and is very afraid of them. The result of this is every time he encounters one of mine he immediately and very clearly projects that fear and hatred straight into the dogs' eyes. My very good natured and easy-going dogs see this and interpret his behavior as threatening, which it is. They react with the defensive posturing/warning behavior which only amps him up even more.

He 100% creates the very situation he complains vehemently about and is the only one that in over 20 years and multiple dogs has had a problem with every one of them.

The funny yet sad thing about all this is, all he has to do is be smarter than the dog, All the problems and bitterness would disappear. He'd gain a couple of friends and protectors.

You might try being smarter than the dog. It would be good for everybody.

Not Cowboys fans. Being “realistic” is just your excuse for always being miserable. And dude, you’re always miserable.
The Cowboys have little impact on my happiness. I have an amazing life. The Cowboys are hobby level for me at this stage. Keep on projecting though, we all know you're just miserable because they keep letting you down and you're running out of time to finally be right about them.

Sorry, but Rockwart won't get the analogy. But, he is a dog with no bite, just licks himself.

I am a pet owner (cat) and dislike anyone with pet issues getting near animals. They can go from being completely normal to freaking out in seconds. Then the owners are forced to calm them down. The whole interaction can be just a few seconds, but VERY disconcerting.

We have a cat also, and he actually runs the house he is so cool.

Being positive isn’t about pretending the Cowboys have been successful — it’s about protecting your sanity, your enjoyment, and your identity as a fan. Negativity feels “realistic,” but long‑term it drains you, narrows your perspective, and makes the whole experience miserable.

Being negative about the Cowboys doesn’t change the record, the roster, or Jerry’s decisions.
It just changes you — your mood, your enjoyment, your energy.

Positivity is the only mindset that gives you a return on investment:

• You enjoy the wins more
• You survive the losses easier
• You stay connected to the team without burning out

The always negative type think:
“If I expect failure, I can’t be disappointed.”

But here’s the truth:
They’re still disappointed — they just ruin the season in advance and they become bitter.

Positive fans get:

• Hope during the season
• Excitement during wins
• A buffer during losses

Negativity is just pre‑pain.

So that’s why I always preach, stay positive and go Cowboys.
It's human nature. For me I can't understand the constant negativity of some. What's the point of being a fan if you have no hope? Of course those people will just say they are being realistic, but having hope doesn't require abandoning reality. Every season is a new one, and while we can recognize that the team's history doesn't suggest a Super Bowl run, we can also recognize that seasons very often don't go the way we think when the season begins. In the end, the point is to get enjoyment out of fandom, and rekindle at least a little spark of competitive spirit in us each week. If that were to end for me I couldn't imagine staying invested enough to even post negativity. There would be no point.

lol...why you trying to use logic on him? Go talk to a tree, you will have a better conversation. Rockport admits that "it's a Badge of Honor" to come here and spew his hate for hisself.

In the post I responded to Rockport was promoting positivity as the better path

You have to appreciate a guy with skills like that not only can he constantly lead the fight to keep all the peasants positive while the king exploits their loyalty.

He can multitask and work double the hours of a regular guy while carrying on his fight for positivity.

I for one am impressed and I'm sure King Jerry has taken note of this also

Right there with you. Especially with an animal that looks the part of a trained killer. It's fascinating to see how different people react to them when I have them out in public. And how the dogs react to the reaction.

We had three cats along with two GSD's at one time. The slim little female cat ruled the roost. She would chase the male GSD off his bed and slide right into the prewarmed spot. She was the cat that made me see cats differently.
