News: Fox: Tony Romo arrested in Milwaukee for OWI

Will wait to pass judgment until all the facts come out, but if was driving under the impairment from any recreational substance than he is an absolute moron of all morons.

I could care less what people put in their bodies but there’s no excuse to drive after doing so - esp if you have pver 100 mm and a uber black home would be peanuts…and don’t give me the he couldn’t leave his car argument, I’m sure he has a security contact he could have called to come and drive it home

Hope it comes out that he was just tired or had a cold or something

Pipe down Karen
*I* am the karen? LOL....interesting twist of the original meaning.

Said you: "Hope he gets through whatever is going on and gets his life back on track"

That's not full on Karen but pretty close.

But hey...you get off my lawn anywho.

Tony Romo is one of my favorite athletes of all time.
Many people have driven a car impaired and got away with it.
It’s probably best he got caught so he didn’t hurt anybody or himself.

I wonder if CBS will drop him. Not a good look for Tony. I’m a little disappointed. I’m a Romo guy but this is disappointing. I hope he doesn’t have a problem with alcohol.
Same. I was probably the only person outside of this forum that lobbied for him to get his job back in 2016.

However, stupid is stupid. And he’s got kids and is too old for this

This is true

But - we now live in a time with the greatest access in the history of man to a variety of on demand chauffeur services.

If he was impaired there’s zero reason…30 years ago you had to call a cab or walk, or risk it, today is very different

There have been a couple of rumors lately that things are not good between Tony and his wife
And of course she will try to take more than she earned if she leaves….enough to drive a man to drink. Marriage ended up being a contract….and any contract where one party is REWARDED for leaving is a terrible contract.

What kind of ghetto AI is this lol

Something doesn’t add up.

Tony finished his round between 4-5PM.

Then gets pulled over around 6PM.

He would have had to get hammered around 5:30PM?
If he had a couple of hard drinks with only a most an hour till he was pulled over he would have gotten a higher reading
Was it only a couple of beers?

Speculation here. We don’t have enough information….

But…

He played poorly during the golf tournament.

He has a bad back.

Was he taking pain meds for the back???

That would explain the field test by the cops.

He likely blew 0.0..

Yep... and while drinking on the golf course is almost more common than not, I will bet my year's salary that he wasn't drinking during a state am. Not with spectators watching.

This doesn't seem to add up.

Romo giving that kid QB pointers after his round reminds me of why he's one of my favorite players. The OWI arrest reminds me that you shouldn't have athletes as heroes or role models. The second you put them on a pedestal, they will let you down.

Not saying I consider him a hero or role model. I don't idolize players or actors or musicians. Just that this is a reminder of why it's not a good idea to do that.
