Twitter: Dak Prescott's place in Cowboys QB History

Too bad he always melted when the moment got big.
I disagree. First of all he seemed to embrace these big moments and as a fan that was fun, I jsut remember a lot of fun games in that era

There were many moments within all the success and failure that all hinge on very specific outcomes within each play. IDK I’m at peace with his run. I think it was all worth it . If that makes sense .

Does a Cowboys QB who never made it to an NFC Championship Game deserve a statue, or, to be in the Ring of Honor, or to be in the NFL Hall of Fame???

From around 2010 to now you have to take all stats in basketball and football specifically with a grain of salt.
I disagree with this only because I think each era had different factors and play styles that provide context the raw numbers just don’t tell. Obviously records were meant to be broken and eventually someone will take them away from Dak, but I think there is room to appreciate folks from those different periods without having to pit them directly against each other in a simple Player A > Player B by the numbers. That being said this is obviously bait I’m shocked it has so many pages lol

List them.
Fumble FG snap to lose game at the worst possible moment.

Throws blatant pick at the worst possible time to lose the Denver game.

Lost three straight win and in or go home games to end three straight seasons against each of the Divisional opponents. Didn't step up his game at all.

2-4 record as a playoff starter with no Divisional Round wins.

Choker and a waste of a decade.

The fumbled snap with a dirty ball while NOT playing QB and his team stood around and watched? Good lord...pathetic.

The Denver game where he went toe to toe with Peyton HoF Manning? and the defense couldn't do ship?

What kind of "step up his game" are you asking him to do?

2011 4200 yds and 31 TDs only 10 int.

2012 4900 yards and 28 TDs (an abysmal 19 ints) buy had to average 300 yards a game. Incredible

2013 3800 yds and 31 tds only 10 int.

On any other team he goes deep in the playoffs with those numbers.

But ...people  ...like you....expected Romo to bail out the team every game all game long all season.

All as a walk on QB competing with the likes of Mannings, Rodgers, Brees, Brady, can't give him one shred of credit. Pathetic.

It's insane. Pure insanity.

This was tough........no one talks about it much but I think THIS is the real cloud hanging over his legacy. If I remember correctly, he had a turnover in at least one final drive that would have tied or won the game.

I was done with him after those games. Garrett should have been fired too.

You are missing this part of his post..........Romo had critical turnovers ( on final drives or late game ) that killed our chances of advancing to the playoffs.

Lost three straight win and in or go home games to end three straight seasons against each of the Divisional opponents

Okay fine. How did we get into that position in the first place? Romo made a lot of things happen the whole game. The law of averages can't sustain it.

Listing the Denver game is a PERFECT example...because I remember that one very well. Defense couldn't stop Peyton on ANYTHING...score after score after score. So what did Romo do...matched it.

Then at the very end Romo HAD to do SOMETHING, out of time...he messed it up somehow don't remember it.

Romo gets the blame instead of defense. Not ONE WORD on that soft ax defense.

That's crazy asinine to me.

Just like Dak with his defense. QB is still responsible for his side of the ball.

What does this have to do with the 'three straight wins and in or go home game'

That's not the only thing he said.

And my point? That simple minded statement does not describe the whole games.

Those three games were romos fault?

I think way better of you than this.
