The guy in charge of our local VA is son of one of my dad's childhood friends...because of that, my brother has been able to help a few of his friends. Shouldn't have to come to that.

I love start of the football season for the obvious reason that I love football and the Cowboys.

But I also love the start of football season because it means we’re about to get some beautiful fall weather and the end of the stifling Texas heat. It’s like football signifies the ability to be outside more. Bring on on football and fall weather!

Come on Ranch! Why you want to paint me as someone who is so "prissy". I wasn't called a "tom boy" as a kid for nothing!! I know more about sports than my brother. And by the way, as I'm writing this, I'm wearing my robe if you must know. :laugh:

Anything over $12,000 a year, you’re considered self supportive and cannot use the VA, unless you were injured in battle

Although I am considered a wartime veteran, even though I didn’t go to war
So I can be buried in the veterans cemetery

I won’t presume to know your financial situation but rotating vehicles that often just seems wild to me.

Anyways - I want the season to start so we can move on from the pointless gossip threads that plague the offseason.

I've bought a new vehicle at least every two years for 44 years...since I was 16. Done well for myself, very blessed and fortunate.

Good for you brother. The frugal part of me winces at the thought of spending money on vehicles over straight up saving or investing but if you can do that more power to you. :bow:

One of my former players has been a GM at a Chevy, Nissan and now, Ford dealership for 22 years....that helps a lot. Just got a 72k truck for 54k.....with the accured equity from my last 3 trucks, over the last 5 years, left me with 0 payment!! Never thought I'd see that. I thought I was gonna pay about 8k and he handed me the keys. Best part was, he just hired my son in law and it was his first sale. I keep saying, I'll keep this one for at least 3 years, lol....one day I'll buy my last one. Hope it's not this one!! Lol
