Dak - I'm not going to shy away from (Super Bowl talk)

Why worry about the laughter of people on the board. I was talking about the Country laughing at the cowboys by claims put out there not just by Jerrah, but by a quarterback as well. I mean, if you like people laughing at the Cowboys and our fanbase...
Every sports show on tv is talking about the Cowboys everyday. And guess what, they sit and argue with half the panel saying the Cowboys are legit contenders this year. I dont care what they say, none of it matters. But dont make it like only the fanbase is talking that stuff. And honestly.... please show me the SERIOUS thread on this forum where people are sitting there saying this team is going to win the SB. That is always made up nonsense.

Tough.... you do know Jimmy would never last in todays NFL? You do know these guys practice for a couple of hours and are done? Then practice 2 days and need a day off. Practice in shorts and no hitting is allowed. Get mandatory water breaks.... and you think that tough old Jimmy would just walk in and change the culture? bahahahhahahahahahahahh

Just like in College now. Why you think Saban RAN away from Alabama once the player portal was in full swing. The rules have changed my friend. Unfortunately the fan base has not caught up to the times.
What abou the "won" part?

I live here in Dallas, I don't remember people at work too upset for Terry doing that. Not that Basketball is the main sport here, but still. But lets say with Dirk that the Mavs record before that season in the playoff was around 49-55. Well that is a whole lot better than a 2-5 record. A lot more games won, so a lot more likely to happen than the Cowboys going to the superbowl this year. At least at the time I thought the mavs then had a better chance at doing something in the playoffs than I do of the Cowboys this seaason. That's just my perspective.

That’s my point though he tattooed a championship trophy on his arm and the outcry lasted a day. He was called stupid. Nothing like this. But this fanbase made a big deal of “fat Zeke” and “backwards hat Romo” so it’s consistent and I shouldn’t expect anything less lol.

I thought Mavs stunk. Even that year they won. People don’t remember now but the Blazers beat them and a one legged Brandon Roy looked like Jordan. I honestly thought we were gonna lose. I thought they were gonna lose every round and never in a million years did I see them
Beating the Heat. That was the first time we really saw stars come together. What a great run by Mavs.

Forums, like this one are TINY percentages of the actual total fanbase...10 million fans in the U.S VS 11,000 hear. It's an echo chamber.
And a psychology and social studies experiment.

Like I said...you need a refund! You just keep being wrong!

Usally the one that screams "TRIGGED" first..is the one triggered....lol
You would need 14 promotions to become an imbecile. Keep trying to bait people.

He won PRE salary cap. The salary cap is as consistent as death and taxes. I LOVE Jimmy Johnson, but you guy seems to either forget, or are too young to understand how much things have changed since 1993. That salary cap is the exact reason the Seahawks could take 60-1 odds last year and win a super bowl with a first year qb. All of you talk about the time it takes to build a team..... uhm, no, not really. NFL rosters churn at the rate of 30-35% EACH SEASON. Hell, there is no way for us to know what our defense is going to do this year as only about 3 guys that played last season are going to play this season. out of 11 starters in game 1, I think only 2 of those guys are back. Talking about Jimmy sounds like the old guy telling us how he used to go to a movie for a dime and gas was .23 cents per gallon.

Who cares. We dont live in 1937 anymore.

How do you know the rationale and mood of every comment?

TMC following you around giving likes over such negativity and narccisim is very telling!
If anyone is a follower it's you. It's pathetic that you're like this. You comment on EVERYTHING said about Dak. Now you're calling out other members? Weak sauce.

Okay kid...get off my lawn!

For the record...I never read how your comment about Jimmy and Dak had ANYTHING to do with Jimmy coaching NOW....yet here we are ...arguing about it. Weird.

You're the one who brought Jimmy in to this discussion with your comparison of his bold statement vs Prescott's bold statement.

Which, by the way, isn't really a valid comparison given the significant differences in the context between the two.

Ignoring all this silly back and forth.

If Dak wants to actually talk about the Superbowl, both he, the offense, and the defense need to play much better.

In the playoffs

In the 2 games he has won he had 5 TD's and 1 INT while scoring an average of 27.5 points
In the 5 games he has lost he had 9 TD's and 6 INT's while scoring an average of 22.8 points (with most of those coming in the 3rd - 4th)

In the 2 games he won the defense let the opposing offense score an average of 18 points.
In the 5 games he lost the defense let the opposing offense score an average of 31 points.

Both he, the offense and the defense play poorly in the playoffs compared to the regular season.

I dont believe I brought up Jimmy, but you said this, "Because Jimmy was tough and won," and off we went.

Bahahahhhahahhahahha, at you thinking Dallas doesnt already have a target on their back. Bahahhahahaha, on you thinking what Dak does or doesnt say in July will make one bit of difference on the teams win loss record.

"We will win the ballgame, and you can put it in three-inch headlines. We will win the ballgame."
First reference to Jimmy Johnson in this thread.

There is no comparison. I think Dak just plays with people at this point. He recognizes the ridiculousness of all the coverage, all the questions, all the videos of a training camp TD pass and on and on and on. He shows up with stupid **** just to laugh at the media. Also, you know what I havent read about so far or heard asked to Dak? About his break up. Just maybe Dak would prefer to talk about his SB bulls.... instead of his ex, and this ensures that will happen.

Look at the title of this thread... it makes my point.

Schottenheimer's four standouts from the first practice

Really?the 1st, light, training camp practice and we are already talking about who stood out? Or I should say the COACH is talking about it, because he was probably asked which of the rookies was going to the pro bowl.

Ok, but you don't need a Psychologist, you need a Psychiatrist. You're going to need medication.
