that had everything to do with someone talking about being humble. It had nothing to do with Jimmy or Dak. It was posted to show that being humble, or being brash has zero to do with wins or losses.

I remember all those fighters that used to sit in pre-fight press conferences telling the world how they were going to beat Mike Tyson. Only one problem, they then had to actually get in the ring. As Mike said, everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

11,000 was a snapshot of members who were currently online at that particular moment. Typically, online numbers can fluctuate throughout the day and during the course of any given week--sometimes greatly.

Site membership is 24,000+. Still a tiny fraction of total number of fans, but double that observation.

Did Dak forget that every QB in the league can talk about the Super Bowl being the ultimate goal except him?

I see it as an extension of what Dak has always shown. I don't think he is trolling, I think he is trying to be a leader by planting what he views as the seeds of positivity to inspire confidence in the team. Believe it and it will happen is the theory. There is a time and a place for that, such as when you're speaking for a team that has already achieved winning a division, winning a playoff game and you're only speaking about the next game where your young inexperienced team is going on the road to face a gorilla. Better coming from the head coach who then becomes the lightening rod instead of the players themselves.

If Prescott really is trolling and even worse, using this to deflect from his personal issues then he is 100% exposing himself as a pure fraud of a leader. Nothing good can come from it so there is no point in doing it.

A good and topical anaolgy here would be to compare this to consenting to a field sobriety test. Nothing good can come from either but something bad certainly can.

Remember when a QB once said, "see you February"? That didn't go over very well at the Zone either.

Personally, I will be very disappointed in him if anything he says is not totally meant as personal motivation for himself. Practically all athletes self-inspire themselves. That is something I have never had an issue with. Repeatedly telling the whole world what you have not done or have not come close to doing is what I have always described as talking TOO much.

Dak knew wearing that T-shirt was going to get people talking, and it did. Knowing that, what possibly was the reason to wear it, other than to be asked what his point was. He could have done that behind closed doors with the team in private. He didnt do that. He wore that shirt knowing what would happen.

I agree with the sentiment, and I have done similar things in order to put the pressure of scrutiny on myself as a motivating factor.

Where we might disagree is on the team aspect involved here. I wouldn't think it appropriate to make boastful insinuations that would bring that scrutiny to my teammates.

I also wouldn't choose to tell the world about what I haven't done. I would just shut up and do my best to get it done.

You may be right, but has he publicly stated that was his reason? I am asking because I am not aware if he actually did. That would be my fault for not reading or hearing the text of his comments. He does not require anyone to read between the lines figuratively if it is indeed the case.

Until then, I will continue believing he was not trolling. Regardless, Dak Prescott could not care less what one person thinks of his trolling or non-trolling public comments. Or at least I think he seriously should not care in my opinion.
