They aren’t building blocks. You don’t suck and build around a running back and a linebacker. I suspect if the price is right they can be had.

He just got an extension and bonus. Why would Miami trade him, if they paid him a bonus, would accelerate into this year and money that won't come back to them.

Brooks has no fully guaranteed compensation in 2028 or 2029. He basically signed a 2 year deal. Only 35mil guaranteed. He signed a pretty team friendly deal.

10 years back or so I think GM Gettleman of the Giants traded Beckham right after signing/giving him a bunch of money.
