He was my favorite draft pick after studying him. Clearly was a top linebacker, but was so good that when his team needed help at DE last year, they moved him there. I think if he had stayed at linebacker, he would have been in the conversation to be a late first-rounder, early second-rounder.

Outside of him, we're lacking some size at LB, so if his coverage is good enough, I expect him to get some starting snaps when we are in the 3-4 sets. I don't expect him to be out there when we're in the nickel, though.

I'm really interested to see how he pans out. He's got great size. But what really excites me is his blitzing potential from the ILB spot.

They need some aggressive guys that are going to get to the ball carrier fast. Last year it seemed a lot of players were slow filling lanes and waiting for the offense to come to them.

Glad Barham is off to a good start in camp, but look it's just practice right now, let's give him more time before anointing him.

I’m not sure how Malachi Lawrence could have had any reports in camp last year when he was just drafted a couple months ago
