Jerry Jones on potential 'substantive' move, Super Bowl aspirations and more

In a copycat league that is the NFL, Jones has no issue with taking aspects of his peers' work and applying it to the Cowboys, who he believes are in a similar situation.​

My God. It's full of stars. Well, this is the first time I have heard or read Jerry Jones using that particular GM strategy.

Shaking my damn head, Jerra still trying to learn how to run a football team from other teams that are successful after 30 years. Now, that is our GM, boys and girls.

I guess he is a slow learner after 30 years. Meanwhile, a new GM will get hired by a team and in three or four years reach the SB. I just can't believe the things he says. Maybe he is going nuts at his old age, or just incompetent all along.

I stopped reading when i read "what the Rams have done".

Start drinking again Jerry. The world feels better then for you. Stop trying to use what is left of your brain.

Well at least he knows there is a franchise called Rams. I give him that. Tsts.. the boy is always good for a surprise.

He hasn't copied any of the strategies of SB winners over the last two decades, He hasn't copied ANY other team's management structure since no other one has the owner being an unaccountable, can't fired for incompetence, is part time GM, and was never qualified for the job he gave himself and refuses to budge from.

I am one of the biggest Jerry detractors on the board but I don’t need every single post I make to repeat the same thing.
 
People are acting like this is unusual or a sign of ineptitude, but when you look at S&P 100 companies, they all have working groups with their peers for various divisions in the corporations to share insights, trends, see what is working or not working (without giving out corporate strategies). I've been a part of these discussions and it isn't unlike what JJ is describing. Now if you he actually leverages it for. Aking informed strategic decisions is another story.
 
Jerry will always be a man who knows how to make money.

Forget everything else when it comes to being a competent NFL general manager. I know I did a long time ago.
