Thought about that class, but the Jaylon pick w/ an early 2nd ruined it.

Jaylon was an amazing athlete.

The knee ruined his career. He was never going to play 10+ seasons with a rebuilt leg.

But Dallas got all they could out of him.

I'll bet you on Moore. He's a 4th round pick that the DC wanted. Many thought he had 2nd round talent that just had too many injuries.

I think the entire draft class except Anthony Smith makes the active 53.

They should have little trouble sneaking Smith through waivers and getting him on the practice squad.

Doesn't really matter. If a team isn't going to use a pick on him, they aren't going to poach him off the practice squad to add to their active roster.

Dallas using a S at the nickel makes the math a lot tougher because they aren't likely to carry more than 3-4 outside CBs.

S - Thompson, Locke, Hooker, Bell
Slot - Downs, Steward/Kendrick
CB - Bland, Durant, Revel

If they keep 10 DBs, that leaves a competition between a lot of guys that's most likely going to come down to ST (Goodwin last year). Moore isn't going to lock down a ST spot, so I don't see the path for him to be on the opening 53.

I like his talent, but outside of injury I don't see it unless he has a ridiculous camp.

In retrospect, he was drafted WAY too early by the Cowboys. We obviously also overpaid for the extension. It’s amazing that we swung and missed on him TWICE.

90% of 4th round picks make the team across the league

5% or so go to practice squad

Steward seems doubtful but last season he seemed to understand zone coverage better than most of the DBs.

This is what Jerry always does. Gets a decent team together, then starts drafting like a high school girl in love. Just everywhere, and nothing makes sense. I really don't get it, how can he be such a horrific GM? It's not the first time those 2nd round TEs, injured players, and stiff-hipped players cost us playoff wins. Why does he always turn to this?
