I was thinking the same thing, but it could also just be a case of them wanting to get the deal done given the draft pick trade investment.

Bruce smith played a lot of his career at 3-4 end…which is harder to rush from than a 4-3 end…..I hope Q can be close to as effective now that we moved to a 3-4. I’ve been questioning being a 3-4, if we really are utilizing our DTs better there vs a 4-3. Time will tell. Wonder if it would have been better to stay a 4-3, draft Bain, and have Clark, Q, Bain, and Gary at down lineman. I hope I’m wrong.

They gave up a 2nd this season and a 1st in next year's draft to get Quinnen. It made sense to lock him up for more than just another two seasons given that trade cost.

The Cowboys are using multiple fronts. And based off what I have heard Quinnen's role really won't change that much.
