Having said all this....

The Cowboys still had Quinnen under contract for two more years so there really wasn't that big of a rush to get this extension done now. The timing and the sudden extra cap space at least makes you THINK they could be opening up room for a trade acquisition.

Ummm… if we wait then the price tag would be higher. That’s reason enough.
