I loved the confidence the players played with in the scrimmage, this team seems different!

This team seems different from last year's team in the EARLY part (not anointing them, just praising). I look back at a Garrett coached team, the players seemed to play in the image of their coach. There wasn't any confidence, we seemed ok with just being ok, teams seemed to get under our skin, and we didn't push back.

Yesterday in the scrimmage, I saw GP in full dog mode torching the Rams and letting them know he did it. You saw BSF catch a touchdown and he celebrated in his own way, Flournoy as well! You saw our LB get ints and he let them know that he got them by tossing the ball in the air.

Now we know it's just a scrimmage and we have a lot to work on. Having confidence early, goes along way. Maybe someone from the coaching staff said HEY we got pushed around last season, let's not be bullied, let's be the bully!!

I like this confidence SO FAR that was displayed, I hope they continue to be fearless, play tough, but be smart! In a real game, we don't want penalties for going too far! Please give your input!!

Hopefully, what you see will not be the 27th mirage seen since February 1996. 2003-2006 was the last time it looked like players adopted any semblance of their head coach's image. Otherwise, rosters have been reflections of the guy who hired himself a head coach.

Dak mentioned having the right guys in the Breer interview. Wanna guess who he was talking about? Hell, he even tried to clean it up by saying he wasn't knocking guys from the past. Leaders on both sides now see players putting the team first rather than worrying about stats or individual accomplishments.

But can't it be good to know that they are at least confident to some degree and have the appearance from watching this scrimmage that they don't believe in being bullied

I think we have the right guys here now id say 90+ percent, we have guys that go about their business and want to play football! I love that focus without crowning too hard

Let's sit back, enjoy, and watch Dallas' 2026 season unfold, while understanding the change everyone sees is not the complete change needed.

The only people the contract nonsense distracts are the fans and the media. Players play either up to their ability, coaching or their work ethic.

Not trying to give you a hard time, but it's laughable to think Dak doesn't concern himself with stats or individual accomplishments.
Until he tacks some "skins on the wall" (playoff success), that's all he's got.

To hear his name and "team first" combined in a sentence reminds me of the term he used during his last contract negotiation:
