Do you know if the WR from Oklahoma State who was on UNTs team with his now QB will be drafted high?

Edit I found him, Wyatt Young, also I am very interested to see where that QB goes -Mestemaker.

Wyatt Young should be a top 100 pick. If he does what he did last season, he could sneak into the 2nd round.
Mestemaker put up massive stats last year but his level of competition was subpar. I think he has the tools to be a first round pick but I don't think he declares this draft cycle. He'll probably be one of the top 2028 QB's, along with California's Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele.

I like the first one quite a bit better. Trading GP just to draft a guy you hope is almost as good just doesn't make sense to me.

It will be interesting to see how Mestemaker does at Oklahoma St. The competition week to week tougher than the UNT schedule . The Eagles got a Tanner McKee round 6 . After next season , if he goes into the draft I see that for him round 5 maybe .

Really I’ve watched him play I know they racked up a ton of yards at UNT but I never thought of him in those terms . Interesting to see Ok St offense this year see what happens .

The 4i position is not a key position in this defense. It makes no sense to spend second round picks. The eagles & broncos do not spend high capital on that position either.

I think Cowboys fans have really gotten way too into the weeds on the differences between 4i, 3T.

I don't really know much about Holmes, but for a prospect like him the question is really just "is he disruptive in the B gap?"

They are different and treated different due to production and costs. The teams that run this scheme pay the 3t and the nt. They do not pay the 4i big money.

I'll try to just say DT from now on. In the base 3-4 it is usually 4i, NT, 4i but it's flexible sometimes alignment is shifted to a 5-tech, NT, 5-tech. CP brought up the 4i when he was explaining his D-fence to the media a couple times, I just ran with his interpretation of his base D. It's going to be a multiple D-fence and I shouldn't narrow it down as much as I did. If anything I should have listed Holmes at 3-tech, because 4-2-5 nickel should be played the majority of the time anyways.

I'm sure Anthony Smith could play 3-tech or 4i just fine but he is more of a 5/6 tech DE. All of this to say, it doesn't matter. They will move these guys up and down the line and play different alignments. I will try to be more generic in the listing of players positions, so people don't blow their tops.
