It’s not about ignorance. It’s about affordability. If you truly can afford without financing on a credit card then all the power to you. Which I can but choose not to .

My bigger point is the average middle class to even upper middle class family like I was growing up can’t truly afford to take their kids to a Cowboys game on any kind of regularity.

I went to back to back Rangers games a couple weeks ago agains the White Sox. Beers were $12-15. I had 2 beers, a bag of peanuts and a $90 ticket. Took the shuttle from the hotel to the stadium. So less than $150 for 1 person.

We went to Disney World once. Saved up for a year and stayed at the Polynesian on site. It doesn’t cost $800-$1000 a day unless you’re buying all kinds of souvenirs.

They clearly didn't mind watching opposing fans fill the stadium when the team struggled lately. I don't blame fans for selling their tickets and recouping some money on the secondary market when it costs so much to buy season tickets and attend the games and the product on the field is sub-par. Most saw an embarrassing amount of opposing fans at the games. Jerry just saw dollar signs and people willing to show up and line his pockets some more. Next year maybe he ups the amount of opposing team swag on sale...

Everybody is cashing in on the NFL cash-cow, we've been witnessing the lengths the NFL will go to maximize profit with an insane level of advertisements, global outreach, parsing out games to multiple streaming outlets, massive TV contracts, player contracts, collective bargaining, and costs at the gate. They're all tied together.

But thats usually a once in a lifetime event. Not attending regularly or even once a year.

I grew up 15 minutes from stadium attending several games a year . Now kids like me aren’t able to do so.

You clearly have NO CLUE what happens in stadiums. This is from AI :industry estimates, ticketing investigations, and secondary market analysis indicate that roughly
15% to 30% of all NFL season tickets are held by commercial ticket brokers and businesses that primarily resell them for profit.

Back to me.

I Attend games every year. This year I am going to home opener at AT&T, Colts game in Indy, Rams game in LA. This is not the 70s. Tickets can be bought online for relatively cheap. Southwest makes travel anywhere in the US relatively cheap. Google earth helps book hotels near stadiums, internet with priceline or hotels.com makes getting rooms easy. EVERY place I go to has a significant number of Cowboys fans. 30% of the stadium in Indy will be Cowboys fans, maybe more in LA. The LA Cowboys playoff game several years ago, 55-60% of the Coliseum was Cowboys fans. It was crazy. So before talking smack about ownership not caring about opposing fans coming to AT&T, have a clue what the world is like today. Those owners have no say so.

Definitely a luxury item these days for what used to be an "everyman" sport. Even with the exorbitant price tag, it's on my bucket list. A one-time experience where I spend a stupid amount of money, like a luxury box at a thanksgiving game... That's the dream!

why dont you listen to someone who actually attends games. You can get 4 tickets to almost ANY game in the NFL for 600 dollars. If you chose to spend 1600 plus on 4 tickets, that is someone's choice to do so. I NEVER eat or drink inside the stadium. My wife and I do pretty good financially, but I still can not get myself to spend 16 bucks for a beer. Yes, their estimate of 20 bucks for 2 beers???? Not a chance.

I still attend concerts occasionally and don’t spend more than a $100 . Can still get a bottled water for $3. Most are closer to $50. For name brand bands still touring.

Yes, some less expensive seats can be had but usually not lower level ( not endzone ) where I grew up seating .

And Cowboys have Party Pass if don’t want a seat or full view of field .
