Cowboys fans hit with major price increase attending AT&T

I think you’re avoiding the bigger issue.

Even based on figures you presented it’s easy to conclude how Cowboys tickets have outpaced inflated prices on other products .

Has nothing to do with life choices and priorities.
The bigger issue is not COWBOYS ticket prices. The Bills fans, just like Cowboys fans years ago, are about the get smacked with crazy SPL fees. Raiders tickets are more expensive then Cowboys tickets. Dont make it like this is a COWBOYS issue, it is not. That list provided above showed the Bills with the most expensive prices in the league, and they havent even had a single regular season game in that new place.

Yea but isn’t Disney like a once in a lifetime experience not like attending your local NFL game.
Disney experiences are a by-product of income disparity as everything else with a price tag. My family has visited all the Orlando parks, including Disneyworld, a number of times. We have even stayed at the on-site resorts. My parents took my siblings to Disneyworld several times when I was a kid.

People make the experience happen if they are able. Some people can only make it a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Others cannot even do that much. Money always dictates a person's choice. That said, I do agree that going to Disney is not the same as going to an NFL game.

Since the beginning of time there have always been people who have more and people who have less. Some people drive Ferrari’s and some people drive Fords, This is a thing called life…

Of course , not all our the wine and cheese crowd. I’m just saying today’s prices and atmosphere has produced this new crowd which we didn’t have in old days at Texas Stadium.

We didn’t even have many opposing fans . If we had a more than a few hundred it was newsworthy.

We did have scalpers though and where most opposing fans could try and buy a ticket before the game .

It was a different era and mainly local fans had access to tickets .
Those days are Gone forever. Sad really. The NFL is doing it with TV too. Taking great games off Sunday to put on a streaming platform. All they want is your money.

Car manufacturers are doing the same. New cars are impossible to work on at home. You cant even change a battery on a new car because the dealer has to reset the charging system, letting the vehicle know a new battery has been installed. BMW tried to make heated seats a monthly subscription fee. New car infotainment systems are about to have PAID ADS to the car pop on the screen when you start your car, and you cant shut it off, or the volume. Just like those annoying ads at gas stations. This is a trend I will stay away from, thus the reason I will likely pass away with never buying any vehicle not made pre 2020ish.

Was just talking to my colleague the other day about that very thing. I have a 2018 4Runner that I bought new; has less than 40,000 miles on it. Every 4-5 months now I start getting the itch to sell it and get something newer, but I hate the fact new cars are basically tech appliances now that you dump after 3-4 years like a cell phone. You can't work on them or customize them (outside of wheels) without fear of bricking the vehicle or taking it out of warranty. I like the old modular cars I can swap out the infotainment if I want.

Listen, I saw Sabbath, Aerosmith, Blue Oyster Cult, Bowie, Motley Crue, KISS, Alice Cooper, White Stripes, Offspring etc and the tickets were all $50 or less! Prices Rise…
Yep. Paid $.19 a gallon the night we got married in 1971. And was working at a trade job (as a gopher) for $1.15 an hour.

I went to back to back Rangers games a couple weeks ago agains the White Sox. Beers were $12-15. I had 2 beers, a bag of peanuts and a $90 ticket. Took the shuttle from the hotel to the stadium. So less than $150 for 1 person.
But supply impacts the cost. There are 81 home baseball games and 8/9 home NFL games. The cost per game should be less for baseball. Same with just about anything - a 1916D Mercury dime is sells for 25 times a 1916P because if scarcity.

Those depth/fish finders are getting better every year!
4 grand for the spot lock feature with built in transducer for down AND side-imaging. It's more like hunting when you can see your lure dropping down and then the fishing going to take it. $4K for one of those. Lithium ion battery to run that TM (all day) is a grand.

Next up, a 48" high def screen mounted on the bow of your boat to watch your Cowboys while casting a lure to yo favorite fishes. Technology!

Not sure what you are comparing to but MLB plays 80+home games per year vs. what? 8 or 9? Slightly different scenario for an owner.

You’re right. I didn’t intend to make it just a Cowboys issue. It’s a NFL issue. I’m just not as familiar with other venues nor history of ticket prices but it’s probably similar.

Both> That is why I posted the entire list. ;) :)

Nothing surprises me after seeing the cost of finals tickets at MSG this year.

Consider the supermarket: The outside aisles and often towards the back contain the most shopped items: eggs, milk, veggies, etc. So...why not place that in the front for ease of access? Well, to sell you all the processed, ultra-processed and other crap.

A thing I've learned about this country and entertainment is that the goal is to empty your pockets. From the time you enter the movie theater to the time you leave, they want you to empty your pockets. A football game is no different. If you can control your spending - don't eat their crap, eat before and after - you can spend money without emptying your pockets. But if you demand the full experience - parking, food, good seats - be prepared to be exploited.
I wouldn’t call that being exploited. It’s a value decision. A person “demanding the full experience” is simply valuing something at a greater level than others. Anutter person might value something else greater that others would consider being exploited.
