Von Miller is expected to sign with the Dallas Cowboys

Hopefully those 9 sacks with the Commanders last year didn't drain him of all his remaining juice.

I was hoping Crosby but Miller is most likely an upgrade over Gary even if he's 10 years older than him.

Better than what they have.
Cautiously optimistic.
Being better than Gary isn’t who he is replacing

IMHO he is not a upgrade over Gary or EZ but over Houston and Williams. Gary and EZ will get the majority of snaps and Von will be a rotational 3rd down guy.
I think Gary and Eze are the early-down OLBs/DEs. They are the guys we want playing the run IMO. I would expect Miller to mainly play on third down or second-and-long with Gary moving inside to DT next to Quinnen. Who plays the other DE spot in the nickel will have to be sorted among Eze, Lawrence and Houston. I'm not expecting Williams to make the roster now. Gary can't play every down, so there will be enough snaps to go round and chances for the others to steal some of that playing time.

As I've said before, I'd rather sign a player like this and find out you don't need him than to find out you need him and him no longer be available to be signed.

One player away from competing for a chip......and a 37 year old shall be that man.
Age is but a number. What could go wrong?

I think he’s better than both.

i think Houston is a lock.

Williams got bounced around in the echo chamber last year as being everything wrong with the defense. Him and Murray.

It really hasn’t ever let up since he got busted for weed. The Zone hates the devil’s lettuce.
Frankly, we could have saved money by doing this instead of re-signing Williams, but maybe Miller's asking price was too high.

Dante Fowler had 10.5 sacks at Washington the year before we signed him, too.
Let's don't see a repeat of that. I do think Fowler was hurt most of last year, but that's a risk that increases when you add older players. Hoping Miller's at least got one more good year in him motivated by playing for his home team.

that wasn't even his responsibility on that play; the LB or DB was supposed to contain
The QB run around the right side where he dove inside? Yeah, that was him. Dline coach was immediately talking to him on the sideline and then Parker too.

No big deal. He’ll learn

If Sam is on this team over marist and Wheat it'll be cp's first mistake.
Brother, let's look at their defensive results from yesterday's 1st preseason game:

Wheat: 2 asst tackles, 0.5 sack for a 5 yard loss.

Williams: 2 asst tackles.

Liufau: 1 solo tackle.

As much as I like Liufau, looks like he had the least contributions to yesterday's game. Yikes.
